I know it's only October, but Christmas is right around the corner! Xander will be 10 months at Christmas, so I need ideas!
What did you get your LO for their first Christmas?

Haha nothing. BUT! We did give him all our wrapping paper to play in. I think LO had a good time

WEll she was only 2 months old, so she got a custom piggy bank, movies, and clothes.

Step2 Buggy!
Would've totally considered the Cozy Coupe too!
She was 11 months since her bday is in Jan.

@Adira: *counts in the head, then on fingers* 10 months!
I should note that LO got a lot gifts from family, he just got nothing from DH and I.
This year since we give him a lot of stuff during the year for no real reason, we are planning to wrap up his current toys (that he may have forgotten about) so we can get some picture of him opening presents at our house. We are so bad!!

At DD's first Christmas, she was only 4.5 months old so I didn't buy her anything but she was gifted with many things. This Christmas, baby2 will be 2.5 months-ish and I'm pretty sure he/she won't be getting anything, either! LOL!

DS was 10 months and we got him the Radio Flyer walker wagon. He is 18 months old and still loves playing with it!

@Raindrop: Oh nice! So you're saying Xander should be cool with wrapping paper too.

@Adira: I already showed you, I think anyway, what we already got R. I think we are going to do one more small gift, so she has something to open. We also talked about getting her convertible car seat letting her open it and have a ball with the box!

I don't really remember! Terrible, I know.
If you're looking for suggestions, if you don't already have one, a learning table, a Fisher Price My First remote control car (you shake a rattle and it makes the car move), a push walker/ride on toy.

@Smurfette: Yep, you gave me your list, which I appreciate!! I was actually thinking about getting a convertible car seat and letting Xander play with the box, but I might have to get that before Christmas...

@Adira: yeah LO seriously loved playing with the wrapping paper... the noisier the better!! One of our friends gave us a pretty indistructable wrapping paper (not sure where they got it, but it didn't rip and was very noisy!). He loved that thing for months after christmas... we would fold it up and hide it in the living room (like under the couch or between cushions or in his toy box) and when he found he loved it all over again.

@Adira: Well the list is for family. Fingers crossed they stick to it!

DD will be about five months old. Since we gift pajamas on Christmas Eve, I would like to get a pair personalized, commensurating her first holiday season. Same goes for an ornament. We usually choose a new one for each of us, the first weekend in December.
Otherwise, I plan to get her a few new books, some sensory toys, and a pair of fuzzy, lined boots.

@Smurfette: My mom actually just asked me what to get Xander for Christmas! But I know my parents will be good about sticking to a list. It's the in-laws I'm not too sure about!

We got her Sophie at 3 weeks old last christmas we are getting her 2-3 toys this Christmas, but one or two of them she won't be able to play with until she is a little older.

He was only 2 months old so we got him a first Christmas ornament, Christmas book, personalized quilt & a stuffed animal. He's so spoiled! I think I'm going to do the ornament & book every year and make it a tradition.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@mrskc: We are going to get her an ornament every year too. I get one for my Godchild as well. I always get one that matches what she is into for that year.

Nothing from us besides a few christmas outfits, he was only 3 weeks old last year!

@looch: the car looks pretty sweet! I put it on my LO's X-mas list.

I'm thinking a sled we can pull him in. I'll have to see what DH says. Then a few things for his stocking. I don't think we need to get him much, I'm pretty sure his grandparents will spoil him.

DD got a ton of gifts from family, so we didn't get her anything. She was 9 months old on her first Christmas.

She was only 2 weeks old and got a bunch of stuff from family. This year I plan to get an activity cube and maybe some books and wooden toys. But I don't want to go too crazy.

LO was 7 months, and we got her the PBK Anywhere chair. She didn't use it much until she was around 10 months. Now she sits in it every day!

@Raindrop: DH and I have seriously considered doing this. I mean, it's not like DD would know...and I figure she will dig the wrapping paper more than what's inside.
I probably will get her a couple smaller things though. Not sure what yet!

He was 3.5 months and received a lot of gifts from family, so we got him a few developmental toys and lots of formula!

DS was 8 days old his first Christmas. I don't remember if I got him anything - it's all a blur!
Last year he got a PBK anywhere chair with toys all on it/around it and a stocking.
