I want to take the kids to the zoo, check out the local farmer's market, make some more mom friends to help fill the days, and take a momcation! That's just off the top of my head.

@PurplePumps: Oooo I'm adding that to my list. Only four out of the ten rooms (not including two hallways) are painted. We desperately need paint in here. I feel like I'm living in a white elephant! (Because the house is so big and blank on the inside)

I want to go to the beach more! We barely went at all last summer.
Since we're not really traveling much this summer, we're also planning on doing a lot of "nyc things" that we have never gotten around to.

@NaturallyCathy: Meet you IRL?
In house stuff, I want to finally get the floor fixed in our main bathroom, paint the kitchen/cabinets. Fun stuff: visit the zoo, play at the park, and run more regularly. For travel, I want to finally take my husband to DC (if we can swing a flight there), and we have tickets to a Reds/Red Sox game since he's never been to a MLB game.

1. Get pregnant
2. Make it a point to do something "fun" once a week/weekend (swim, zoo, farmer's market, splash pad, picnics, park, lake, ect.)
3. Replace landscaping on house
4. Take LO away for a night or two for a mini vacation.

@NaturallyCathy: Well, I actually meant the exterior. =) Internal updates are for winter, and then it's all about the outside for the summer and it's so hard trying to work having to plan around the weather. I just painted the last two rooms I wanted to get done last month. Though the hallways are still on the list for us too. I know what you mean with the big empty house though. When we moved in, *everything* was a pale yellow and I hated it. I love putting up new colors and decor!

@PurplePumps: We won't even go into the mile long list that is my outside work, lol. But it includes new paint around the windows, new roof, new siding (preferably not vinyl or if so, a different style/color), etc.

2. Go on our Hawaiian honeymoon (we got married in November and we are both teachers)
3. Get in shape
4. Stay with my family at Lake Tahoe
5. Go to some Giants games
6. And pretty much just chillax before August!

Take C swimming, either at the beach or a pool somewhere.
Paint C's room-- we were renting when we did the nursery, but now we own the place and I want to change the color.
Start exercising, somehow-- bought a groupon to a local gym that has babysitting, so we will check that out.
@Adira: Pregnant swimming is the best. It feels so good, plus you don't have to suck in your stomach

@NaturallyCathy: LOL. Have you looked into cement board siding? It's surprisingly cheaper than wood, but looks like wood, termite and rot resistant (since it's cement of course!). My neighbor has it for 5 years up, and he used a solid stain on it, hasn't done any maintenance on it and it still looks brand new! I'd have believed him if he told me he installed it last month!

I was just thinking I need a list so I am taking notes! I want to go see fireworks, cook out at the park with friends, go on a boat ride, go on our baby moon and hang out at the pool.
@NaturallyCathy: I finally took lessons at 30! I liked the water but could really only doggy paddle, maybe four private lessons in and I felt comfortable to go and swim laps. I am sooooooo glad I did it! It was totally worth it!

@Cole: Funny thing is if you put me in scuba gear, I'm fine. I have no problem -in- the water, just on -top- of the water. Part of my problem is exercise induced asthma. My lungs don't like it when I try to swim (really should do something to strengthen myself so that it isn't a problem but I'm busy with two kids). The other problem is the irrational panic that happens when I start to lose breath because of my asthma and then I'm not where I can touch the bottom. With an oxygen tank or a snorkel piece, I know I'll be fine if I go under. But without either, I just start floundering! One problem feeds into the other. Incidentally, I can't get my scuba certification until I can swim a few laps. Grr.

@NaturallyCathy: I bet a great instructor could help you when you're ready. I hated getting water up my nose and I would panic so that was something we worked on a lot. Also I am slow as molasses still but I enjoy it so I really don't care and deciding I don't care really helped!

Forget the number! I have given up dwelling on it, and besides, my clothes is a better indicator of where I'm at. {Says the woman who just stated that she wants to lose X number.}

@shinymama: Well I'm a SAHM so my dress code is very casual. Comfy casual. If I look good, bonus, but not necessary since I have two toddlers that will inadvertently get my clothes stained with something. But I'm 5' 7" and keep having to lift my 26+ lb wiggly kids all day plus all the other housework so I don't -feel- like my weight. But it still makes me unhappy, you know?

I hope we can get to the beach this summer for at least a long weekend!
I want to take LO to the zoo, to the pool, to the Children's Museum, the science center, local amusement park... lots of plans for a 1 year old.
