It is very different for everyone. For me it didn't start until around 8 weeks and at 26 weeks it is still here (not as bad but I can't go anywhere without Zofran with me). I am not typical though. For me it felt like I was just, well, queasy no matter what I ate/didn't eat. And EVERYTHING came up in the beginning. Morning sickness is no joke.

I was horribly, miserably, intolerably sick from 5.5 to 18 weeks. Completely helpless. I felt extreme nausea, when not actually throwing up, I was on the verge of throwing up, 24/7. The nausea never abated even for a second, not even for a minute after throwing up. Nothing I did could take my mind off of how awful I felt. If I tried to move around too much I got dizzy, light-headed, my vision blacked out, I got covered in sweat, shook, and started vomiting. I cried a lot. Slept a lot to avoid feeling the sickness. Only lost weight until 20ish weeks (and I didn't have any to lose to start with). Never felt hungry and had to force-feed myself things like Ensure, just to get some calories that didn't hurt if they came back up. The taste of water made me throw up, so I had to "spike" it with cranberry juice to make it somewhat tolerable. People mentioning any kind of food sent me running to the bathroom, even pictures or commercials of food made me sick. I actually got furious if anyone said the word "hotdog" in my presence! (Not that I was around people often, since I often felt too sick to even shower and make myself somewhat presentable. Just the thought of trying to dry my hair made me cry.) I tried Zofran for about a week, but it didn't do anything except back my system up. You know what? ALL worth it.

@HidingBee: For me it was just like a hangover! But it lasted all day long! O_O

Ladies ... Today feels like a hangover. It's the first morning sickness I've had (6w, 6d). I thought for the last few weeks that I could skirt by with just food aversions. This is awful. Did your morning sickness get worse as the weeks went on? (ie: today, I haven't vomited, but I feel very nauseas) ... curious if it comes in like a lamb before roaring like a puking lion!

@littlek: thanks for checking in on me! It turns out that it wasn't my month, despite all the symptoms. It's ok because we're going to put TTC off until next year so we're a little more prepared.

Bad hangover.
I started at about 5 weeks for me but got much worse at 6.5 weeks, lasting till about 20 weeks and returning around 30-31 weeks.
