I found some I love for $20/each. Maybe I'm cheap (frugal!), but I find that a little expensive. As a family of 3, it's $60 for stockings!
I'm ok with DIY but I simply don't have the time to do it myself.
What would/did you pay for stockings?

I like $20-$30 is good for quality ones that will last for years and years.
We were going to get some this year but decided to wait and invest once we are done with having kids so they can all match.

I spent like $15 at Hobby Lobby I believe and they have held up great.

I plan to buy a PBKids one that was on sale (hopefully still is...) for about 20$ + the cost of embroidering her name on. I'm ok with spending a good amount on it because I still use mine from when I was a baby! She better do the same!

I think $30 or less is a good price for high quality stockings.

Unless you plan on getting new stockings every year or few years $20+ sounds reasonable to me. What about getting cheapos this year and buy fantastic ones during.the day after Christmas sales?

I bought some PB ones after Christmas and got them for $9.99 each with free shipping! Buy cheap ones this year and then buy nicer ones once they are on sale =)

i voted 30-40 but, honestly, i would never spend that much on mine or my husband's stockings, just LO.

My mom sews ours. She has used the same pattern since my oldest brother was born and the same stockings are still in fantastic shape as many as 38 years later and they get stuffed every year. I have seen similar ones on Etsy in the $25+ range.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: yeah I would want them to last until my child has his own family... my mom still has all our stockings from when we were kids and we still use them for Christmas at her house every year! She makes them and makes a new one for each grandbaby. I love it!

I bought some for $4 after Christmas one year, regular price $25-$30 I think.

I would pay up to $50 if I really loved them. Especially if they were custom. You would have and use them forever. I am also a huge fan of Christmas/holidays so it is easy for me to justify the expense.

If it was a super cute one I would pay up to $30. They last forever!

We have hand-knit ones from my grandma / mom and I them! If that's your style, maybe check out local crafts bazaars, etc.? But if you're buying PBK or something I'd wait until after-holiday sales too!

$20 is the cheapest I could find so that's all I paid. They are super expensive when you have a family of more than two!!
@Mrs. Pen: you're crafty, I bet you could make them!!

@HLK208: ha, not the knitted ones I like! I could do the sewn or somewhat quilted kind though

We have monogrammed ones from PB and I think I paid $20 ea + monogramming, and they are really nice and I expect them to last years. The nice thing is they are a PB staple, so as we have more kids I can add on each year:)
I remember thinking that was kind of a lot for stockings but then I would see ones at Target, for ex, that were not nearly as nice but still cost near the same price, and I didn't feel bad:)

@PrincessBaby: Ditto!
I just ordered K's first stocking from PBK on sale for $19 plus $7 for embroidery. I can wait for DH and mine until there is a sale since we already have random ones from pre-baby. I like that you can get PB mix/match ones to add on for ourselves and future LO. Our random ones were all about $14-18 in the past too.

I might pay up to $50 if they were really amazing. I think mine and DH's were about $25.00ish?
But I might re-buy them now that we have a kiddo but will wait for sales after Christmas. I'm sure my parents have a "my first christmas" stocking already picked out for LO.

I have Pottery Barn stockings as well, but I got them after Christmas when they were on sale. They're embroidered with our first names.
I don't plan on using them forever, I plan to change them up every once in a while, so I don't like to spend a ton.
