My town is pretty small so I get all excited that LO will have someone else their age in their class, lol. I want to make friends with them but I'm way too shy. It might be easier when LO is here!

Sort of a mixture between "Man, I was so miserably uncomfortable by then!" and "Man, I'm so jealous!".

When I see a really really pregnant person I honestly think "Bless her heart." I was miserable at that stage. When I see a just pregnant person I wonder how far along they are!

If I think anything at all it's "better you than me!" because I know what comes after the hugely pregnant phase. Newly postpartum/newborn phase does not appeal to me at all. But as far as them being pregnant I don't think anything at all.

"How exciting" cause even with the feeling like crap & possible complications I think that season of life is just full of exciting anticipation regardless of that baby being your 1st, 2nd, 3rd, only, or last of many. It's just exciting!

I guess I thought that I hope it's me one day, but the fact that she's REALLY pregnant makes it even more so. If I could just skip the 9 months and go straight to labor, that would be fantastic, lol...it's nice to be at the end, lol

I think, "Aww! So exciting!! They'll have their baby in their arms soon ( feel like I usually see women who look pretty far along)".

"Man, I'm glad that's not me right now. Nearly two years straight of being pregnant, I'm glad we're taking a break! But maybe again in a few years..."

@runsyellowlites: @hilsy85: Me too. I'm irrationally filled with joy for them. My neighbor who I only know well enough to street chat with was due last Friday and I'm bursting to know if she delivered!

I get all doughy and tip my head to the side a little and smile. Then I imagine being pregant again and smile some more!

My mind is a gutter. I think, "oh, they had sex to make that baby." And then after I scold myself, I think, "aww! A baby!"

Hahahah, I voted for "Yay! Another pregnant person like me!" Which IS true, but to be totally honest, I'm secretly analyzing evvvverything about her as well..."did she end up with awful zits everywhere like I did? Hmm, she looks like she's carrying higher like I am, I wonder if it's a girl... Oh, I should totally try to wear THAT style of dress...maybe I'll look better..." It goes on and on and on...

@Mrs. Pen: LOL
@ms.janedoe: I do the same thing!! There have been many times when I've bought a copycat outfit that I saw and liked on another pg woman!

@Mrs. Pen: Bahaha that is my second thought after "Oh gosh, I'm so sorry"

"Mom, how far do you think that women is?!"
I'm usually out with my mom. I will ask DH this too and he could care less. I have the same question for babies/toddler "how old do you think that baby/kid is?".

I feel like we have a weird eye-contact exchange, like we're in a secret club. (I'm 36 1/2 weeks). I also try to guess how far along they are based on how their walking and how big they are.
I live in an elevator building and a couple of weeks ago, I got on an elevator and then as the door was closing another girl got on. Then when the door was closing again, a 3rd girl put her hand in, and got on.
Then I realized we were all heavily pregnant. We all stole glances at each others 'bellies but none of us said anything. That was a funny/awkward ride.

@ms.janedoe: Ha-- me too. I can't help but compare them to me-- I wonder how far along she is, then think, hmm, she's carrying higher/wider/whatever than me; oh her ankles aren't nearly as swollen as mine (or are way more swollen than mine), or even (shamefully) that is NOT a flattering maternity outfit... I keep it in my head, unless I'm with DH and I think I look better, then I might point it out to him. How horrible is that?
BUT, most of the time, I just wonder how far along she is and think, yay! Pregnant people!
Now I know what people are thinking about me. I'm *really* pregnant.

I voted other. I get kinda jealous because my bump was never really big (LO was born at 35w3d). I carried really low and was chubby to begin with, so I don't think anyone ever realized I was pregnant. I think they all just thought I'd gained 30 pounds.

Baha, I wonder if she is looking for a doula and if I should give her my card. Yeah, that's not weird at aaaaallllllll...

@Mrs. Pen: LMBO, I think of that too with friends that are due near the same time I am.

"Don't assume she's pregnant!"
I started thinking anyone with a belly must be a friendly pregnant woman. Not so much. My SIL carries her weight that way and hears from well meaning strangers all the time. I'm determined not to do that to someone even though I want to talk babies to everyone.

1) I'm so glad my 3rd tri isn't over the summer, she looks HOT!
2) Aww, i wonder where she shops for maternity clothes...will that look good on me when i'm that far along?
3) Is she wondering why i'm staring at her right now? am i making her uncomfortable?

@Corduroy: I think this too!
"She's pregnant.. Right?? Don't look at her belly, she might not be.."
Unless its REALLY obvious.. Then I get all excited for them.

"Awwwwww!" And then I just want it to be me again soon! I totally miss my preggo belly
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@Mrs. Pen: HAHAHAHA!
@FarmWifeGina: LOL!!!
Since I'm currently pregnant (34 weeks), I think "aww! She's pregnant like me!!" Then I start wondering how far along she is... What she's having... Where she's delivering at... etc.
pineapple / 12566 posts
I think "me too!" I'm only 14 weeks and don't look pregnant yet.
cantaloupe / 6669 posts
@Mrs. Pen: LOL! Sometimes if it is a rather unattractive person, I do wonder how that happened for them... Haha!
Mostly I debate whether they are pregnant enough for me to say something. I never want to be wrong! Though now that I am on the other side of that, I kind of dislike that no one asks me when I'm due or anything. You all just think I'd let my belly hang out like this!?
