Or what do you wear to work?
My office is casual unless big clients and investors drop by. Business casual leaning towards casual!

When I did work it was business casual. It's hard for me because I do art with my clients and that gets messy, so I never liked to buy nice, expensive clothes. But you still want to look professional.

Officially, it is business casual, but you see more and more people in professional dress (suits).

Business casual... but our group (sales) are the only people that dress business casual. Everyone else is in jeans t shirts. It's a radio station if that makes a difference!
Sometimes in the week (I work from home) i'll dress more casual depending on who I'm meeting with.

Professional...suits and ties on most guys - at the very least khakis and dress shirt if they're not seeing clients. Our group can be a little more casual because were in a slightly different business, but still business casual. They just over the last year or so allowed us to wear jeans on Fridays. Before that, it was only one Friday a year for charity!

It ranges from very casual/no dress code for day-to-day office work (could wear jeans, sneakers, t-shirts, anything goes) to dressier if holding a presentation or doing on-site visits with clients (dresses, slacks, button-down shirts, cardigans, etc). I usually try to look nice-casual on most days (dresses in summer, nice jeans, boots or flats, cardigans) unless I'm in the lab - then I just wear whatever is most comfortable.

Business casual, no jean (except Fridays) but golf shirts are fine for the guys. Ladies, pant and a nice top or dresses/skirts are all fine.

It's pretty casual. I wear jeans everyday and try to pair it with a nice top. A lot of people just wears tees which I think is a little too casual. Managers tend to wear slacks and a button up shirt. We deal with farmers and I don't think they mind the casual attire.

@prettylizy: same!
Business casual, but you can wear jeans on Friday only if you donate $2.

Dress code here is professional most of the time. I can get away with not wearing a suit everyday, but about the least dressy I get is dress pants and a cardigan. Men almost always wear ties in the office.

Business casual, more business-y. Casual day once a month which includes a donation to our company sponsor child if we wear jeans. Men are always dressed up (sales guys).

Scrubs or khakis and a nice shirt. Always closed toe shoes, no heels. Something I'm not afraid to wrestle animals in, since we never know what our days will bring in.

casual to business casual. I'm in a cotton dress and sandals today. i wear jeans and polos very frequently.

Business casual to professional. Most of the men wear button-ups/ties, and the least dressy outfit I wear is cardigan/khaki's. It depends, but nobody wears jeans to the office.

@MrsH: Same here!
We're totally casual unless we have Court/depositions or someone coming to the office. I'm in a maxi dress and sandals now. Yesterday was Bermuda shorts.

I work from home, so yoga pants When I go visit our office in San Francisco it's very casual and I swear sometimes it looks like people are wearing pajamas. At our events though its business casual.

From our handbook:
Men’s Dress: business suits, dress shirts, appropriate blazers or sport jacket with dress slacks that
complement the jacket, collared shirt, and polo type shirts.
Women’s Dress: business suits, pantsuits, skirts, dress slacks, blouses, sweaters, turtlenecks, blazers,
polo type shirts, and business appropriate dresses.
We are allowed jeans on Friday. I work with all men, so my "dressiness" isn't compared to anyone else, which is nice.

Depends on the department. My old one was super casual (sloppy, really), and then I moved to HR, which is business casual w/casual Fridays. I'm actually really enjoying dressing up a bit more!

Technically, business casual unless we have a hearing, in which case it's business formal. In actuality, it depends whether my boss is in or not (it's just him and me in our office right now) -- if he's working from home, I don't see anyone all day except the FedEx guy so I wear whatever I want. I like being able to be comfy, but the downside is I never really feel like I have to look good for work so most of the time I don't even bother to try.

WAH! So whatever I feel like. I don't do pj's very often though. I just don't feel ready for the work day unless I have showered and changed.

Business casual...on Fridays we're allowed to wear jeans...I usually still wear a dressier top & heels with them.

Casual! There are a lot of t-shirts, jeans, hoodies. We can't wear sandals because we're a lab and the foot has to be covered but other than that it's kind of free game!

@Springtime: lol donate $2?!?
It is business casual. I usually wear dresses and heels or dress pants and a nice top (blouse or cotton tee).
I've noticed many employees a lot more casual over the summer; cotton tees or tanks with capris.
Jeans aren't ever allowed, we don't have casual Friday OR Saturday! But that's ok, I find jeans uncomfortable!
papaya / 10343 posts
lolz I work at home so I'm wearing yoga pants and a tshirt right now.
Although when I have client meetings it is somewhere between business casual (usually a dress) and a suit.

@Mrs. Pen: ha, yes! Kind of like a fundraiser, every week is for a different purpose. I find jeans uncomfortable too, I usually don't participate.

Pretty casual without a really defined dress code.
I am a supervisor so most days I wear some kind of skirt/top/sweater/ballet flats combo, add a lab coat if I am working in that half of the building for a long time. Other days I wear similar but with khakis or jeans. We have company shirts that we can wear that are pretty nice but I rarely wear mine.
When I was working in the lab, there was no dress code other than long pants and closed-toe shoes. Honestly we encourage our analysts not to wear nice things because they will inevitably get ruined somehow even while wearing a lab coat.

@LindsayInNY: maxi dress and ballet flats here so glad I do t have to wear a suit everyday and that I don't go to court very often!
