I had a half a cupcake the morning of the day I was induced (it was unplanned) . . . I didn't eat again until after 11 p.m. the next night! (over 36 hours without food . . . *augh*).

I was prepping cookie dough to have on hand to bake up quickly if we had visitors, so I pretty much had cookies for dinner.

With ds I remember cheating on my gd and drinking hot cocoa.
With S I have no idea!

Chinese food here, too!
I had been planning on having pancakes before I went to the hospital, but my mom ordered Chinese and it was one of the few times during my pregnancy that food sounded good.
Huge, huge mistake!

I know I had a lobster roll the day before-- my friend who has a baby one month older than C told me it supposedly induces labor, and she had one the night before she went into labor. I had SUCH a craving for one after that and finally had one, then went into labor 18 hours later. Coincidence? I think we had steak and potatoes the night before.
I was in labor pretty much all day before was born so I was careful to only eat things that wouldn't be horrible to throw up in labor after that (egg and cheese sandwich, then leftover steak and potatoes.)

Nothing I didn't feel like eating anything all day long for some unknown reason... hmm, guess it was due to impeding labor!
I do love hearing cool stories of food though!

Spicy chili for lunch...and I threw up a LOT during labor. Not fun, but it was good chili!

We went and had great barbecue, even splurged with dessert. With me being diabetic, this ended up being a horrible idea as my blood sugars were way too high and I had to be on an insulin drip during the entire labor. And they didn't let me have anything to snack on for over 8 hours.

Leftover pizza a few hours before the contractions got bad. I had a McD's dollar chicken before leaving work. I wish I had a Big Mac because the pizza didn't survive labor pains.

We stopped and got mcdonalds breakfast on the way to my induction.
DH snuck me some fries during labor because the severe hunger pains from no food all day on top of contractions was killer. I threw them all up later after I got my anesthesia for my c section, but it was worth it.

I can no longer remember what I had the night before (probably something my mom cooked, she came to visit and helped for 2 months). My labor started that night and continued till the next day (contractions started 11pm, I went to the hospital around 3pm next day, had my baby at midnight).
DH went to work in the morning and my mom forced me to eat something. Oh boy. That was the worst thing ever. She just won't quit making me eat something for hours, claiming I need energy when I go into labor (please note that she had me with a scheduled C-section and I am an only child, so you wonder how much she know about how it felt). I ate some toast so she would stop bugging me, and I basically puked everything out when I got to the hospital hours later.

Before labor I finished off a pregnancy pizza.
During labor I made had cereal, walked to Jamba Juice for a smoothie and oatmeal, had some fruit pouches. When I was still hungry I ate lamb chops on the floor between contractions. My doula was in disbelief. It was a long labor.

I don't remember, but on the way to the hospital I made DH stop and get me mcdonalds because I knew that they wouldn't let me eat once I was there. Which is a dumbass rule anyway, and one I fully intend on breaking next time.

McDonald's breakfast sandwich....I was crabby they sent me home from triage (and in a lot of pain) and asked DH to get me something I like but wouldn't normally eat. I knew it would be my last meal before LO arrived and I was right.

@Foodnerd81: I had lobster the night I went into labor! I have never heard that lobster induces labor, but what a coincidence.

I think I had my normal pregnancy pb&j toast. I wish I could remember for sure.

@Silva: Indian for me too with DS!
With DD we had just had lunch: ham, avocados, baguette, cheese and fruit. My water broke 20min after.

I can't remember! I had a peanut butter sandwich at home while I was in labor, though... A day before, we ate at the farmers market restaurant where we ate a lot of pork.

I can't remember either...we were making lunch (pasta, carb loading, lol) when we called the hospital and they told us to come in.
I didn't eat until well after my son was born, probably 36 hours?

Steak and crab cakes. I really wanted to do one last nice dinner before DS arrived!

That evening around 6pm or 7pm we had hot wings and jalapeno poppers - mmmm. I went into labor around 10pm and checked into the hospital a little after midnight. During labor I drank water and ate some zucchini bread (to the dismay of my nurses) until things got real - baby showed up at 6:01am

A hot dog, baked potato salad and Mac and cheers with DS, nothing with dd-I felt sick!

With my first, I had fish tacos the night before. Also, a big bowl of Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia. I'm glad I ate so much since my water broke at 6am the next morning and I didn't eat until 7pm.
With my second, we went out for Mexican the night before I was induced...ugh, I couldn't eat anything and I was so nervous about the induction.

4 chick fil a nuggets & a small fruit cup.
I wasn't very hungry but knew I should eat something since I was on the way to the hospital. I didn't eat til the following evening & was beyond starving.

I have no idea! I did have a normal breakfast and lunch at Whole Foods though, while I was in labor. I actually signed myself out AMA so I could eat something because they wouldn't let me and I knew I wouldn't have the energy if I didn't eat.
