@MrsH: Yeah, it was an annoying process, but glad I did it!
my legal used to be my korean name. changed my first name to my English name, middle to my maiden, last to DH's last name.

I never had a middle name so I kept my maiden name as the middle name and then took his last name as my new last name.
People had a hard time pronouncing my Chinese maiden name so I like this much better. Also I like how I talk to people on the phone and they hear my American last name and then meet me in person and are surprised that I'm Chinese.

I kept my name. I thought I would change it, but we have neem married 2.5 years and I think I will keep it! DH does not mind and I don't mind people calling me Mrs. Hislastname.

I dropped my maiden and took his last name. I never even thought about dropping my middle name and keeping my maiden. I would have liked to have done that!

@chopsuey: ditto!
I dropped my first name, moved middle to first, maiden became middle, and then added DH's last name. It was a huge pain.

I added DHs last name to my existing name and didn't drop any of it. So i have 4 names.

I dropped my maiden name. The decision was fairly easy because my middle name already honors my dad.

@chopsuey: wait, how do you change a middle name to a maiden name? Did your parents go along with changing their last name to your middle name or something?

I kept all my names as is. I like it just fine that way.
I do get a little annoyed when people send mail to us as Mr & Mrs. XX but mostly when it is DH's family who never bother to ask if I changed my name as if it is nonnegotiable, or who ask and then can't seem to remember my pesky little name.

I haven't changed anything. I keep meaning to drop my maiden name and use DH's name legally (I do socially but legally I'm still maiden name), but it's been so complicated with immigration and living abroad that I just can't be arsed.
DH would prefer we have the same name but ultimately, he doesn't really care that much and is leaving it up to me. We've been married three years now and I'm not sure I'll ever get around to changing it, although it would be nice for all of us to have the same name. Meh, whatever!

I hyphenated then I dropped the married name and just went back to using my maiden name.

Kept my middle, dropped my maiden. I like the way my married last name sounds with my first name so much more!
