I'm gathering ideas right now for a baby shower for one of my good friends. What was the best part of your baby shower? What do you remember the most?

Open bar tab... of course I wasn't able to enjoy it but most of our friends (and my MIL) had a good time. My friends who threw the shower covered the decor, food, regular drinks and DH paid for the bar tab.

That it was casual and relaxed. And there was a bib making station were guests decorated bibs for us. Very cute.

Onesie-decorating. I loved putting LO in those onesies and thinking about the people that made them.

I haven't had mine yet, but my favorite part of any baby shower is the food! I love when there is an assortment of snacks/appetizers to choose from in addition to dessert!

Making cute onesies, burp cloths and bibs. We cut out images from fabric and ironed them on.

food and cake!! lol But seriously, the games were really fun and watching Wagon Sr. open presents was priceless. And ours was a co-ed BBQ and beer blowout (per our request) and everyone had such a great time just partying. I loved it.

For my shower my sister had guests fill out these "Wishes for Baby" cards (http://images.teamsugar.com/static/imgs/Lil_HeirloomShower_Wishes_BluePink.pdf) then gathered them all up for me at the end of the shower.
I LOVED reading them and they are so going in the baby's book. Some were funny, some were sweet, and some made me cry. It was so beautiful to see how much our baby is already loved. I think that it helped a lot that there were specific prompts and not just "say something to the baby."

everyone decorated onesies. i love putting them on him and seeing who decorated it...and as awful as it may sound, it's nice having some that i don't mind if he gets formula/spit up all over...

Everyone brought their favorite book and wrote in it instead of a card. We have a great book collection now and it was so much fun to see everyone favorite children's book.

I loved having DH there because it was coed, the food, and the creative decor. My SIL made roses and cupcakes out of socks and onesies, and she also made a cute banner with her name that hangs in her nursery now.

The food was awesome! And the onesie and bib decorating. Also everyone filled out these coupns with services they would do for me/us, such as babysitting, cooking a meal, or a 15-minute shoulder massage.
