I'm 29w1d and fiiiiinally DH felt kicks! I'm way more excited about this than he is and I'm not sure why lol. I think he was a little disappointed when he realized it just felt like little pokes/taps. I don't know what he was expecting! I think he will find it cooler as he experiences it more.
What was your DH's response to feeling LO kick for the first time?

He thought it was weird! He also thought the baby hated him because every time he put his hand on my belly, she would stop moving.

His face was priceless! His eyes got all wide and he said "oh my god!" Now that the kicks are stronger, when he gets a really good one he has a great reaction, but the little ones are "old news."

Mine hasn't felt kicks yet but he gets excited enough when I feel them!! "Is it moving? Little wriggler!" I can't wait until they're strong enough to feel from the outside!!

My LO is shy too. He'll be kicking up a storm but the second DH comes over he stops! Oy.

"That's so creepy". He wasn't into the whole pregnancy body changes thing in general but loved u/s and hearing the heart rate etc.

His face was priceless sad how cool it was. Think that is when it made it real for him, even after seeing her in ultrasounds.

I'll never forget the look on his face, but it's hard to put into words. A mixture of happiness/surprise/amazement/wonder/excitement.

I think he got a little teary-eyed, actually! He had this shocked face for a couple seconds, then was just amazed. Now he falls asleep with his hand on the belly every. single. night. It's adorable!

DH was a little nonchalant about it but I think that's because this saying is true 'a woman becomes a mother when she finds out she's pregnant. A man becomes a father when he holds his baby." I can tell you that my DH is the most wonderful father to our son, and I think he will be more connected to my pregnancy next time because he knows the outcome now.

DH is so anxious to feel a real kick! Like many of your LO's, our little man is shy and stops kicking as soon as DH puts his hand on my belly. So frustrating!
He was able to feel a little bit towards the end of the "flutters" stage but was a little disappointed that it "felt like a gas bubble." Lol.

@Mrsjets: that's comforting to know, thanks for chiming in I was really a bit dismayed that he almost didn't care (he went straight back to watching some show about gold). To me, the first time I felt LO was a serious OMG moment and brought tears to my eyes. Even now, it's still something that I pause and take in. He won't be inmy belly forever so I try to soak up every kick I'll miss it! Although I'll be excited to hold him, it's still such a really special time, to be pregnant and feel those kicks and punches.

I hear that, I felt disappointed too. Luckiy my friends/family were very excited to feel him roll around so I didn't feel alone in that sense. I miss being pregnant - I'm glad you're soaking it up!
Actually, at 29 weeks we went to a 3D/4D ultrasound and DH loved it. I think that seeing the baby made it more real and the fact the the baby had some of his features didn't hurt!
