@lawbee11: thanks! I couldnt think of how to incorporate the theme without having a multi tiered cake then I thought of a carousel horse and straws!

Peter Rabbit (the beautiful vintage Beatrix Potter version). Lots of mismatched vintage china, garden party food, peter rabbit themed food (Mr. McGregor's veggie patch veggies with dip, "bunny tails" aka marshmallows, cupcakes with crushed Oreo "dirt" and fondant veggie toppers, etc.).

She's a May baby who is obsessed with fish, so we're doing mermaid/ocean ONEderland

Pink was LO 1's theme.
Pink and orange will be LO 2's theme!

We're doing a Gone Fishing theme, since his middle name is Fisher.

I based the party on colors (mostly pink, white, and gold). I felt I had more option that way with the decorations and food.

1st bday is little Prince, runner-up was my sunshine theme.

We are keeping it simple and modern with no real theme. I'm basing my decorating off of this picture from Pinterest.

Ladybug/bumblebee! For two I'm thinking beach-theme...it won't be nearly as big, (we went all-out for their first...not planning on another big event until preschool), but I still gotta have fun!

Little boy's was a bee theme because that was the first animal sound he made. Baby brother's was balloon themed because he loves balloons.

I've been pinning birthday pins since B was like a month old! I haven't thought a theme yet, but I have a bunch of really cute mini mouse pins. I love your theme of strawberries, so cute!

I was pinning things before she was even born ;). And funny enough, it's....strawberries! Probably more the strawberry lemonade side of things though. I also love the twinkle twinkle little star theme.
I figure we can do Izze/Mike's Hard for the adults. BBQ since in my imagination it will be a glorious August day. Pretty flowers from Trader Joe's (in vases filled with fresh cut lemons?). Fruit. Bubble favors for the kids.

Somehow I think saying "we had no theme" makes me the crazy one in this thread.

@jetsa: hehe that's my friend (who designed the invite) and my other friend's son on the invite

@sera_87: I don't think you're crazy! I really don't have a theme, I just picked some colors out. We are doing something very small. My MIL asks me constantly "what's the theme?" and I've started saying things like "happy birthday" or "we kept him alive for a whole year!"
We didn't have a wedding theme other than "getting married"

@cmomma17: funny, we said the exact same thing about keeping him alive. Morbid sense of humour anyone?
