I am going to to a sprinkle for a friend this weekend. The invite says she requested no gifts, but we should feel free to bring something to make her and the new baby feel special.
I am terrible at these things. What would you bring? My only idea is a coffee gift card, because I loved going for coffee while I was on mat leave.

I like the coffee shop idea- especially if there is one close enough to walk to. Along those lines, a food delivery gift card (like for foodler or grub hub or similar). GC for a pedicure or some nice hand lotion- I know with a new baby you are washing hands 8 million times a day and they get so dry.

I would still bring a gift. 
Like something personalized or more novel (cute blankets, clothes, new gadget) or diapers. Or a gift card. It's fun to have non hand me downs too.

Or a gift card to Peapod/Amazon Fresh/Shipt, etc?

@Foodnerd81: I know, right? I have a feeling the honoree doesn't really want gifts, but that makes the hostesses feel weird, so they said to bring something.
@2littlepumpkins: Agree, it's fun to have something new. I had two girls, and I loved having a just a few new outfits for DD2.

I would bring diapers for baby and something for mom - restaurant gift card or a new water bottle filled with some easy one handed snacks.

I like your idea of a coffee GC. I would also bring a couple books because you can never have too many (but you can sure get bored of reading the same one over and over 
).

My go-to is food delivery certificates or gift cards. UberEats or GrubHub now that services like that are plentiful. In years past, certificates/cards for pizza or takeout worked well too. When that meal train ends and you want something other than your freezer prep meals it's nice to not think about spending money on dinner and you don't have to feel guilty about getting takeout *again*.

I guess the invite is trying to say no BIG gifts then? It's a bit contradictory? I'd just go with a giftcard...

I was invited to a "no gift sprinkle" earlier this year. I ended up bringing a small set of cardside baby books (4 of them - all about "love"), a snuggle bear which held a smaller "baby bear" for their 2-year-old DD, a mini spa set from the spa I go to for the mom to be, and a bottle of champagne (although sparkling wine or sparkling cider could work 
) for the mom and dad to share after her son was born. The mom, who was a friend of mine from grad school, was beyond thrilled that I had considered the entire family with small gifts even though it had not been required. None of the gifts were SUPER expensive so it wasn't as though I was "put out" or wasn't following directions. In fact, for a "sprinkle," she received quite a few baby onesies, gift cards, premade meals, and flowers ... All things she didn't expect in the least and adored. Everything was lovely!

Gift card for coffee is a great idea.
Also for restaurant/near by take away place, book for baby, gift card for local drug store to grab diapers/last min baby things.

Wine, craft beer, fancy coffee or a Starbucks gift card. That wording on the invite is super bizarre, no? Like the mom to be doesn’t want gifts but the host will totally judge you if you show up without one!
