What would you name your LO if your SO had no say?

The same names I'll be naming them. DH gets no say.

@char54: Oh my goodness, we have the same taste in names! I've been trying to talk DH into Beatrice if we have another girl, it's his grandma's name. But he hates it I also just started thinking about Violet but we name after deceased relatives and we have no Violets or anyone that starts with a V so that won't be happening.

But, if I had my choice LO would have been Sadie. I'm glad she's not though, her name really fits her.

Here are my love list that DH hates
    Poppy and Cora
    Rhett and Eli

Not sure but if my next is a girl I am really going to push for Poppy (has been on my list for both of my girls)

@char54: I LOVE Maeve! I'm hoping to use it as a middle name. I have a very Irish name so I like a lot of Irish names like Saorise, Niamh, Roisin. For boys I like Oliver, Theo, Sawyer, and Cavan. DH likes some of those but he's definitely not on board with all, haha.

@BB@TheSwissWifeStyle: "May-v". My favorite author growing up was Maeve Binchy and I think it's just gorgeous! I wish DH would even sort of like it but he scrunches his nose up every time. Maybe, just maybe, I can get it as a middle name though!

@MrsSCB: I love irish names! My maiden name is irish and we will be using it for a DS if this baby turns out to be a boy.

Exactly what we're naming him. We were on the same wavelength on names. I think it took us about 5 minutes to pick a boy name and a girl name (and middles). Crazy!

We don't know what we're having yet, but DH has vetoed literally all of the boy names I've suggested. If he didn't get a say, I think I'd go with Phineas.

We do agree on a girl name, Dorothy (my great grandmother's name, we would call her "Dot") but not a middle name. If I had my way I'd probably have her middle name be Rose or Sophia.

I like Soren but DH said in his first language that's what they called the Soviet Union! Totally vetoed it.

KITSON! I love Kitson for a girl. During sorority rush we had a Kitson go through and I just fell in love with the name. DH has absolutely vetoed it! I beg people to steal it.

    @MamaMagpie: I love Dorothy Rose!

@ckbr: I LOVE Poppy. Poppy and Paisley both got vetoed by DH too.

Names I loved (and still love) that my husband vetoed:

    Clara
    Cora
    Ruby
    Josephine
    Scarlett

We're on the same page with girl names but our boys names are way different. If he had no say I would go with something like Bennett, Harrison, Hudson, Oliver, etc

I liked Clara, Parker, Madeline, and my favorite was Kaitlyn Makenna. DH wanted to name LO Gyrinophilus (it's a genus of salamander), and I vetoed that. 1) no names that would be hard to spell, and 2) nothing that's going to get the kid beat up on the playground.

Josie!! DH isn't in love with it but I'm going to persist!

I love the name Oliver for a boy but DH doesn't like it at all.

Aurelia for a girl and Sullivan and Jameson for a boy.

She would have the same name. It was a name I loved for years and when I told him about it, he fell in love. Made that decision easy!

@Mrs. Pen: M y DH won't let me use Gemma either!
DH also vetoed Evelyn and Henry. I love them both...

@jmarionsmith: it's true lol! I don't want to tell you his names because he might have the same ones as others here and I don't want to offend but they are snooze fest names!!!

@rachiecakes: our DS's have the same name and I also picked it! I love that everyone knows it but it's not popular and that its masculine and timeless DH liked it too, although after labour/birth he said I could have picked whatever I wanted

I loved Chase while pregnant but am happy I didn't get my way. For a girl I loved Aubrey, Shiloh and Camille which DH didn't like. His favorites were Jackson/Jaxon (boy) and Kelsey (girl).

There are some awesome names in this thread!

Luckily we agreed 100% on a boy name, but if we had had a girl I was dying for her name to be Georgia Grace or Harlow Rose. DH HATED both of them!

DS would've been named Wyatt. DH said he didn't like it. If we were to have another boy, I'd name him Wyatt whether DH liked it or not.

Callum. I LOVE that name, but Mr. Cowboy said it sounded too girly.

For a girl, I love the name Camille Josephine, but he wasn't too keen on it. We had a really hard time coming to a decision with CB's name...it was not fun. This time around, CB picked a name for his baby sister (we have no idea where it came from and why he thought of it), and thankfully it isn't something like Abby Cadabby, and it's grown on us, so we'll be using it.
