So, it's very likely that C and I will be flying home to the States in July and staying there (with my parents). I can bring anything I can ship to them and that I can fit in my suitcases. We probably wont see the rest of our things for a year.
What would you take/ship in this situation? What would be your "must-haves" for you (and your child)? C is 14 months old, she will be 16 months old when we leave.

The biggest change that I have seen in D from about 16 months to 22 months is her playing with dolls and stuffed animals and play kitchen stuff. At 14-16 months she had no interest and suddenly that is her favorite thing to do. And she still loves books. We can't get enough books.

@T.H.O.U.: We're going to do play kitchen/food/etc for Christmas this year. 
She'll be about 19 months old.

cameras, video camera, TV, PS3, clothes, stroller, car seat, laptop, key items for her room, ANYTHING of value whether sentimental or financial, key documents, some key clothing for me for all seasons, some of her current fave toys.

@regberadaisy: Well, our TV is a 51" monster, so that's not really feasible. We're hoping to have a co-worker of Jeffs stay here while we are gone, so the house own't be empty. Good point about paperwork though. I didn't think about that.

I still have my stuff from a move in December of last year in storage. We haven't missed any of it.
We did pack a small box of must haves, which included our laptops, cameras, documents and other random things. Everything else, I bought new, including car seat and stroller.

I'll let you know in a month when I pack to move cross-country for a year! We're renting a furnished place with a stocked kitchen so I really only need to bring clothing, toys, incidentals. The rest will go to storage.

i wouldn't miss much. i would take my laptop, camera, stroller, car seat, clothes, some favorite toys, and i think that's it.
