I have never watched SATC and have always wanted to! I posted a wanted ad on craigslist and got a reply - someone has the entire show, practically new and said she paid $120 for all the seasons. she asked what I would be willing to pay... what should I offer? It's craigslist - so is $30 too lowball?

Side note, I have all 6 seasons of SATC on DVD, and I've been meaning to clear out all my boxed sets. If you're interested in not dealing with CL, I'd happily send them to you! Wall me if you want

Probably $40! You never know the quality of the discs...what if one of them was scratched up?
I checked on Amazon and you see used sets for about $70. $30 is a little low but not entirely unreasonable.

I would say if I was the CL seller I probably wouldn't take an offer of $30 seriously and I'd ignore it. That being said, it doesn't cost you anything to make your offer.

I think $30 is more than she would get at a resale store, so I think it is a good price to offer.

@TemperanceBrennan: I was trying to think along those lines too... most people donate DVD sets - but even if she consigned them or tried to sell on craiglist, I'm trying to think how much she could get??

@Mrs. Pen: Sorry! I misread your original post. I thought she was asking $120 in the ad, and you were going to respond with $30.
After re-reading your post, I think $30 isn't totally unreasonable.
I just checked on Ebay and it looks like those DVDs go for around $60-80 so she might be hoping to get that much.
