I've lost one of my diamond earrings my mom gave me in the lush carpet at my in laws home. We never found it. This has happened twice now. Sigh.

Oh man, I have lost or contributed to the loss of so much... it makes me sick! It's almost all jewelry... no one should ever give me jewelry!
- A ruby ring my stepdad got me for Valentine's Day in middle school. No idea what I did with it - it just disappeared.
- I didn't lose this, but I let a sketchy friend of mine in high school play in my mom's jewelry box, and she stole a very expensive and sentimental diamond necklace. My mom never said anything to me about it at the time but when I found out I felt HORRIBLE.
- I left DH's iPod in the library in college and it was stolen.
- I left the first piece of jewelry DH gave me, a Tiffany necklace, in the pocket of my robe when I got a massage on our honeymoon, and it was never found.
- I brought DH his cufflinks from our wedding, that were a gift from his mom, on a trip in my bag and one of them disappeared. That one I feel the worst about, because I was an adult, they were sentimental, and they didn't belong to me.

I lost a diamond earring from DH at my bachelorette party. Now I just wear the singleton stud in my cartilage.
