I'm wondering if I'm gaining weight too quickly in my first tri. How far along were you before clothes started not fitting, when you had to use a Bella band, had to purchase and wear maternity clothes?

It happened at about 10 weeks for me. But I did gain too much weight.

Ha ha...I just responded to another post whining about clothes not fitting. Mine stopped fitting the same around 9 weeks and now at 14 weeks, I can't wear most of my dress pants even with a belly band.

Mine stopped fitting pretty early on! Maternity clothes were just more comfortable.

My clothes stopped fitting very early at about 8 weeks. I hadnt really gained weight but the shape of my belly had changed so I couldnt button up my pants and my boobs were bigger so I couldnt wear my fitted shirts.
I only got my bella band at 21 weeks though, I wore my big clothes up until then and used an elastic band in the button hole of my pants for a long time. I'm 22 weeks now and still havent bought any maternity clothes.

I was in a bella band and maternity pants early, at 8 weeks. Then it was mostly bloating, I think but there was no chance of buttoning my pants. I am short/petite and at 16 weeks, I've only gained 4 pounds total, but my belly did pop early around 11 weeks.

Mine stopped fitting comfortably pretty early on. I think around 9-10 weeks. I started wearing my bella band around then I think. I'm 22 weeks now and I can still wear my jeans with the bella band, but maternity pants are just waaaaaay more comfortable at this point.

My jeans were no-bueno at about 10-12 weeks, but I still have some work pants (that have some decent stretch) that I can wear now at 25 weeks.

I felt suuuuper bloated right away, like extreme period bloat - which for me is enough to make my fitted work pants uncomfortable. I was truly in maternity clothes around 24 weeks.

My work pants started needed a band around 8-10 weeks (and even that was uncomfortable), but I could continue to wear most of my work dresses. I didn’t gain any weight in the first trimester (lost about 10 pounds due to MS, and at 15 weeks have only gained 1 pound over my pre-pregnancy weight), but my belly popped early. At 15 weeks, I wear maternity pants and dresses and the baby belly is very noticeable and pronounced.

At 16 weeks I can still squeeze into my pre pregnancy jeans and tops, but the jeans aren't very comfortable so I wear a bella band and leave them unbuttoned.

I'm at 20 weeks and just retired my first pair of non-maternity jeans. I can still wear most of my non-maternity pants (especially low-rise), and I can wear all of my shirts and dresses. However, I bought some maternity clothes about 2 weeks ago, and I've been favoring them (especially the pants) because they're just so darn comfortable!!

I gave in around 15 weeks and bought maternity pants because my dress pants were too uncomfortable, even with the bella band. And once I started wearing those, it was all I wore - soooo comfy

I started wearing belly bands during my first trimester.. I gained a ton of weight because I was eating nonstop!

I've been doing the open-fly thing for about a month. (19 weeks here). Today officially I must graduate to only stretchy clothes. My skirt fly was completely open and it was still so tight.

Some were a bit tight around 12 weeks, and at 16, I switched to bella band, fat pants, and mat pants

I'm 13 weeks and still in regular bottoms pretty comfortably, but tops are a completely different story! I think I grew a cup size within the first couple of weeks and my rib cage is also apparently expanding as I went up a size there as well. As I'm in Australia summer, it's meant I've had to go get some new tanks/tops (not maternity, I just went up a size) and I need some new summer dresses as they're all too tight across the chest.
I'm hoping to get a couple more months out of my shorts though - the belly seems to content to not pop yet and all of my shorts are low-rise so fingers crossed I get to stay in them for a while!
