I grabbed a pepsi from my uncle's fridge when I was 9, opened it and took a sip.. and was shocked and disgusted when I realized it was beer! Tasted really nasty.
I think I had my first sip of alcohol when I was 20?

17, my senior year of high school - I had half a glass of champagne at a new year's eve party (not with parents). Before that, I had had a few sips of my mom's daquiris and whatnot (with permission).

My dad let me try sips of his beer when I was 9, and my grandad shared a tiny bit of his port with me one really cold day when I was 7...said it would warm me up I liked the taste back then butI have never been a big drinker. I guess I am too cheap to spring for it!

I think maybe my sophomore or junior year of high school?

I didn't really drink much at all though until college.

Our parents let us "try" (like, one sip) beer and wine sometime before my teens - of course hated the flavor back then.

I really tried alcohol starting in high school though, junior year at parties - wine coolers, Mike's hard lemonade, arbor mist stuff, orange hooch, cheaptastic beer and cheap gin. Ugh. I still remember my first hang-over. Luckily my taste in booze has improved in the last 13 years!

I had punch at a Halloween party when I was 20, not realizing it was spiked with rum. That was also the night I met my future husband.

One. Yes one. I stole my dad's beer and drank an unknown amount, went a little crazy, then slept the rest of the night. My entire childhood we were always allowed sips of our dad's beer. Hard liquor I would say maybe 7th or 8th grade?

I've heard stories about a time when I was maybe 3, that my parents found me passed out on the floor behind the couch with a wine cooler bottle... of course it was probably only a few sips, but they had friends over and they suspect I grabbed it off the table when they had their heads turned.!! More then likely I was just tired, it was not enough to be passed out from being drunk LOL

My first foray into real drinking was around 13... I started young.,.. but quit promptly after turning 21, when it lost it's allure!

My friend and I stole a swig of vodka from her parents liquor cabinet in 8th grade! I think in 9th grade I drank a kahlua and milk....then I think the first time I had more than a few drinks was junior year of high school. I didn't drink much in high school though.

My dad let me sip his beer, whiskey (!), and scotch (!) when I was really little...It was so gross. The legal drinking age in Canada is 19 and I had my first real alcoholic drink when I was 19...I was too scared to drink before that.

I drank for REAL and got drunk for the first time at 17.

I tried my dad's beer when I was probably 10 years old and spit it everywhere. My first time drinking was when I was 14 at a homecoming party, I had Mikes Hard Lemonades. I started at a very young age.

A sip of beer in high school and had my first hard drink Freshman yr of college!

I think it was 14 or 15? I had Mike's Hard Lemonade at a friend's house - her older brothers gave it to us. Looking back, her parents should have been supervising us a lot more!!!

i think around 15? i went to the junior prom as a freshman and had a RedDog beer & Zima (ha! remember zima?) at the afterparty.... i was bragging to my friends the next day on the phone and my mom heard me. what an idiot. I was grounded for weeks.

My parents let me try a sip of wine at some point and it was super bitter and gross. I didn't try alcohol again until I was 20.

I think I tried a few sips of wine cooler in high school but never went to those high school drinking parties. I had my first real drink freshmen year of college (probably some sort of punch at a house party)

I was 17 and just to see if we could get away with it, we ordered long island iced teas in a restaurant. It worked. I'm in Canada though where the legal drinking age is 18, so it wasn't all that long before it was ok anyway.

My mom let me try sips of her drinks in my late teens, but my first real drink was as a freshman in college... I went a little crazy and got really hungover - and then decided that drinking (for the most part) isn't for me. I'm not a big drinker, maybe one or two max a week or so (when not pregnant of course!)
