with lo I had one at 7 weeks 3 days because I had irregular periods so I needed it for dating purposes and with this pregnancy I'll have one sometime in my 7th week because of bleeding.

I had one at 7w5d for dating. I have long irregular cycles and we wanted to make sure my dates were right!

I had one at 8 weeks (standard at my practice to have one at the first appointment, between 8-10 weeks).

At my practice they typically do the first one at 8 weeks, but I had one at 5w6d the first time because of spotting and 5w2d the second time to rule out ectopic. Ended up getting another one at 6w6d because the on-call doctor ordered it (not sure why but all is well) and I'll still have the regular 8/12/20 as far as I know. Early monitoring was sort of a silver lining to being high risk due to previous loss.

I had a dating u/s since my cycles weren't totally regular. They don't book one before 8w at the u/s place near my house but I booked it for 9w so hubby could come.

I am definitely in the minority here! I think it's common practice in my area to not have many ultrasounds. My OB just took what I said as gold as far as my LMP and I told him I o'ed three days earlier and was a little ahead. I guess that was my "dating ultrasound. "
@Anya: My OB said that he didn't consider someone at risk until they had three consecutive loses. Cue mouth dropping.

I'm scheduled for one at six weeks because of my previous miscarriage. Normally I would have had to wait until ten weeks.

I had my first ultrasound at 7 weeks. It was ordered by my RE to make sure there was a heartbeat.

I might have had one even earlier than 5 weeks... My office was very different; I literally had one every week until we could see the heartbeat.

My doctor does one at the first appointment (normally 6-10 weeks). It's a transvaginal ultrasound and depending on where you are might not show much. With this pregnancy (#2) I was 10 weeks for this appointment and surpirsed at how much we could see. With my first it was at 6 weeks and it really was just a sac.
I'm high risk, so I end up with more ultra sounds (currently 22 weeks and I had them at 10, 16 and 19 weeks, with another scheduled for 23 weeks).
