@Synchronicity: Thanks! (Not that I can take ownership of it. ) I was thinking about writing "Merry Christmas" at the top and "From DH, Simplyfelicity and Little L*****" at the bottom .

@simplyfelicity: I voted 20+ weeks but we didn't announce on Facebook or anything until after he was born!! I figured everyone close to us knew and I felt weird making it super public. Some people were super surprised! I think we'll likely do that again.

@QBbride: I bet they were! My "friends" list is super limited but has cousins and college friends that I am not close enough to to call up and say "hey, I am pregnant!"

@simplyfelicity: exactly me too! I don't have anyone who I don't know at all but I do have friends I don't speak to often!

13 weeks for my first. I wanted to wait until after my NT scan to tell my work and then I made a general announcement.

We will probably wait a similar time frame for this LO.

I voted 12w, but we have trickled the news out to various people all along the way with my mom being the 1st non-medical professional to know at ~5w, a close friend I had been talking to re IF @7w, then others as we got more comfortable. Now @ 14w we are open, but still mostly just sharing on a "need to know" basis, or as we see people. Have called/texted the news to out of state friends b/w 8w & this wkend. Probably won't do a FB announcement.

We told our moms the day we found out, he started telling EVERYONE he ran into the next day even though we'd discussed NOT telling anyone yet, lol. We didn't tell the world until the second trimester, a week after our wedding.

I felt comfortable after hearing the heartbeat twice and having great repeat betas, so we ended up announcing the week before Christmas when I was ten weeks or so. We had a similar announcement idea, and people seemed to really like it:

We waited till DS was here to put anything on social media. We are undecided if will will announce this pregnancy or wait until birth.

A few days before 12 wks and after I saw the ultrasound/saw & heard the heartbeat. I was going to wait but I wanted to announce on a specific holiday.

With M, I waited until 20 weeks. I was really guarded from losing S. I didn't say anything else about it until M was born.
