I haven't told her yet so I have no answers there but we were going to wait until after we have a successful ultrasound since we know she'll tell someone.

Right away because I had such bad morning sickness I couldn't hide that something was different. I just told her that she was going to be a big sister and there was a baby in mummy's tummy, then talked about the baby every few days.

Right away, but she was only 17 months when we found out so she can keep a secret

I looked at him, through my tears, and told him mommy and daddy were crazy and he was going to be a big brother...he was 7 months old.

With our middle child, we waited to tell the oldest. Even though she was only 17 months old, I had a SCH and didn't want to explain why there might not be a baby in my tummy. She probably found out when I was 10 weeks. With my youngest we definitely waited until 13 weeks because she was over three at that point.
One of my good friends recently had a miscarriage and I'm so glad I didn't tell my daughter. My daighter would have had so many questions and would have forgotten that my friend wasn't pregnant anymore. This way, my daughter (as terrible as this sounds) never even knew about the baby and therefore the lack of baby.

Daycare did it very early on. Oops.
LO is 23 months and has no clue what anyone is talking about when they mention it. She thinks baby brother is her cousin's new baby brother. We haven't tried to get her to understand because I still have 4.5 months to go which is a long time in toddler months.

After 8 weeks after we saw had the dating us and saw the hb. I'm 15 weeks now and he readily kisses my belly, loves taking care of his baby doll, and the U.S. pic on the fridge is the baby in mommys belly.

Right away, but she was 12 months so she didn't understand. She still doesn't understand at 19 months. She does say baby and point at my belly, but I think she thinks bellies are called "baby". If she was older I would have waited because we had lots of commplications in the first tri.

Right away but she was 14 months old so she didn't get it. She likes to pull up my shirt and say baby and pat my belly but mostly because we encourage that- I don't think she "gets" it AT ALL.

We waited until we were out of the first trimester because our last pregnancy ended in a loss. She is three already though so she immediately started talking about it with everyone.

We told her around the time of our anatomy scan. I was in no rush. Conveniently that was also when daniel tiger got a baby at his house
