I'm almost 30 weeks. With my first pregnancy, he seemed to always be head down after 20ish weeks. This pregnancy, baby is EVERYWHERE. I woke up yesterday, he was transverse, then throughout the day he flipped between transverse and breech spending most time transverse and now he's head down. My doctor said they don't worry about baby's position until 34 weeks, and since he makes it to seemingly every possible position, I'm not worrying too much yet. But when is he just going to settle down in one position? What was your experience?

She moved all the time. 37 weeks, head down. 38, partial footling. She just wouldn't settle!

Lo was breech around 32 weeks but flipped a few days later and stayed head down

I could never tell that either of my sons would flip. They were head down very early on.

I could never tell what spot she was in. The doc checked at 36 weeks and she was head down and stayed that way.

She flipped a few times but was head down by 35 or 36 weeks, I think. She stayed that way until the end.

I'm not voting since I didn't carry to term and don't know if she would have moved, but she was head down with her butt jammed in my ribs from at least 28 weeks, maybe earlier. She never moved out of that position. My ribs still bother me sometimes; lord knows how they would feel if she'd been like that another 7 weeks.

she was breech for awhile and (uncomfortably!!!) flipped around 33..34 weeks? god i already forget. it was late though.

Just about 32 weeks. He was head down, and could always tell b/c he got the hiccups often and was kicking me quite a bit in my ribs on the right side.

I think by 34 weeks or so, LO finally got head down. I remember having a quick ultrasound with my doc to check based on what I was feeling. I also remember reaching that point where I could feel his butt and his legs on one side of my belly all the time. I'm only 25 weeks right now, so he's everywhere.

At 35 weeks she's in my ribs, I'm pretty sure it is a foot...but OMG I hope this is not her final position. WE are pushing each other back as I try to get her to move.

Breech the entire time and then flipped at 39 weeks, right before the scheduled c-section (that I went through with anyway for other medical reasons).

She had been in one position from maybe 22 weeks forward, one night it felt like she flipped to breech, I panicked and went swimming and did a bunch of other things to get her to turn back. Once she did, around 23 weeks she stayed there for the rest of my pregnancy, despite it being an odd position- her back was on my right side.

Mine has always been head down but they can still usually flip up through 36 weeks so I wouldn't worry.

@Ms.Badger: baby will run out of space soon and have no choice but to stay in the one position that he can fit comforably! You're getting so close - 30 weeks!!!

#1, he was heads down the whole time(not in a great position, but he was heads down)
#2, she was transverse the whole time! And dear god did that suck!!! At my 38 week appointment she was transverse, at 39 weeks 1 day at my (scheduled, not because of breech) c-section she had flipped between my appointment and then. Baby definitely had time to settle. -
I think she turned before 32 weeks.
