What is the ideal time (how many wks pregnant) to book a Babymoon? We'd like to go to Hawaii, Mexico, or Belize (or somewhere similar). Travel time will be at least 5 1/2 hours so I don't want to go when I'm too big. What would you recommend?

I would do 15-22 weeks. Morning sickness is usually gone, and you are feeling good and decently energized I would steer clear of any time in the 3rd (long flights/fatigue/feeling big/ect. )

For a long trip like that, I say late 2nd tri is best, because like @LuLu Mom: said, you're feeling good, and most importantly (to me), you're showing! We did a long weekend near Palm Springs (about 2 hour drive) and I went at 37 weeks... I wouldn't wait that long for a 5 1/2 flight!

We are thinking about planning one in the second tri as well. I have also heard that's when most women feel the best. Hawaii, Mexico, or Belize all sound wonderful! You could easily lounge on a beach all day or find some excursions if you're feeling up to them.

I felt best right in the middle of my pregnancy. So I'd probably book around 20-22 weeks.

late 2nd trimester (25-28 wks) for sure. You want to have a belly so everyone knows you're pregnant and can give you special pregnant lady treatment!

We are planning on heading to San Diego for adoring break- last week of March. My DH turned to me the other day and said that if I get ku soon I will be the hot pregnant lady on the beach. I laughed so hard!! I told him, yeah or I don't get ku quickly and then I just am the lady that should not be wearing a 2 piece that is pasty white on the beach. :).
But if I do get ku quickly I would be 3-4 months pregnant.

We're not planning to go til I'm about 36 weeks or so! Hope I don't go too early.....but we're not flying anywhere, just taking a quick weekend trip up or down the coast!

20 weeks! We went to Maui and enjoyed it so much. I felt great in my second trimester and 20 weeks was the sweet spot for me.

I agree in the second trimester is the sweet spot. With a long flight like that, I highly recommend not scheduling anything shortly after you land. Give yourself time to rest with your feet up. I flew at 18 weeks and was fine but my feet got so swollen. The next day they were fine but I would have been uncomfortable trying to do anything that evening. I flew at 32 weeks and was very uncomfortable.

We're thinking of doing a weekend away between late January and early February, so I'll be around 28-32 weeks. Honestly, I'm 20 weeks and just now feeling a little better, so I wouldn't be much fun at this point. I'm hoping that in a couple of weeks, things will improve so I can have fun!

I'm 19 weeks now and have been on a work trip abroad (6 hour flight from home) for the past 3 weeks, and while I'm feeling better now the first week and a half was still rough! Granted, I'm here working and not relaxing, but I'd wait until after 20 weeks or so if I was doing this again.

I'd say 22 - 25 weeks. I didn't get over the morning sickness until just after 20 weeks so that probably clouds my opinion a bit but I have to say that my baby bump was at its cutest about then and I felt wonderful! How fun to have a trip to look forward to!
