I actually told DH to send me pics throughout the day when I went back to work, and wish he would've sent more. Now that LO is in daycare I LOVE getting pics, but I can see how 'too many' photos would start to be not so great. 1 or 2 a day would be enough. Now I get maybe 1 a week.

I plan to either return to school ft (and complete the certificate this quarter) or work starting in mid-January. I only want pics if everyone is happy, lol. If the three year old is throwing tantrums whoever is watching her can keep those memories! Their preschool has a blog and I'd like to see a pic or two of her in it sometime though.

In terms of day to day pictures, when I have worked in the past or have just been away for awhile (trip, hospital stays, etc) I think I appreciate updates more than pictures, just because I like to be reassured that everything is going ok. But pictures are good too because I figure if the caregiver felt compelled to take pics then everything must be going well and not too hectic. I guess if I got to choose, 1 picture a day or a few a week would be nice. I can see how too many would be tough, especially if you are already struggling with being away from your babies for the first time. Hang in there.

My babysitter put pictures on the baby connect app throughout the day which I loved because I could check in on the app on my own time without getting texts or emails.

I think one or two per day is great but not every step by step. It's kinda like if a kid takes their first step it doesn't count until mom sees. There are lots of cute things that happen that I like to just ignore (like finger painting and eating foods for the first time) that I just obliviously like to ignore

Yes, I loved getting pictures from my mom. I liked knowing that he was happy! I was a teacher, though, so I couldn't check my phone all the time. I would check every couple of hours and I loved getting little updates.

DH went back before me and he definitely wanted pictures when I was still home.

Whenever he's home with them sick I want pictures too.

Not at first. Like you they just made me depressed and it made pumping so much harder than it already was.
After I got into the routine of back to work I loved seeing pictures. It took some time though.

I liked getting pics. I don't think I got too many. My favourite thing though for the first few months was Skype at lunch time for 5 or so minutes. I was able to do that with our nanny and LO was 12 months so he could communicate. Once he started daycare at 20 months I obviously couldn't Skype anymore (and was not doing it daily at that point) and the daycare does not send pics. But they put them up around thr classroom so I liked looking at them in the morning with LO.

My center doesn't take pics but I liked pics from DH.
