I'm not sure if it's exotic, but a tiny town in Akan National Park, Hokkaido was pretty hard to get to. I think Fethiye, Turkey is another, it isn't as out of the way, but it was pretty exotic to me.

I would say its a huge toss up between Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Australia. There are so many gorgeous places that I want to experience one day, such a great way to learn!

I guess the Bolivian altiplano? Lots of tiny indigenous villages. Also, when I lived in Ecuador I did a lot of travel via the rivers in the Amazon basin, where there were no roads. Again, lots of tiny indigenous villages.

St Lucia, out resort was located on a UNESCO world heritage site. Not the most exotic place ever but it was exotic to ME!

Galápagos Islands was probably the most exotic place I've been. I also spent some time in the Costa Rican rainforest.
