DH got me a gift card to a painting pottery place that just opened up in our town. I think I'll use it to take LO and paint with her.
My MIL also got me a gift. She got me a shirt, coaster, picture for LO's room, and a bracelet.

IL's got me a gift certificate to JoAnn's and a couple outfits for DD(that i'm currently pregnant with)

DH got me a Pandora bracelet and LO got me a clay imprint of his hand that he worked on with Gramma
(he's 5 months so I'm guessing gramma did most of the work! ha)

DH/LO got me a certificate for facial and massage and we went out to dinner at my fave Italian place with my parents.
My mom and dad got me some new makeup.
My step-MIL got me a scarf, and my MIL sent a card but I haven't received it yet (and knowing her, it will likely include a check or else a gift of some other kind).
My brother and his girlfriend got me two really nice cupcakes from a local bakery and sent a nice text about Mother's Day. A gift from my brother was totally unexpected!!!!!

Hubby wrote me a really sentimental card and a couple of my closests friends texted me a Happy Mother's Day.

DH bought be a beco Gemini, flowers and a card. I got a card from LO and she "made" me a handprint picture at daycare. I also got a card from MIL and a frame with a pic of me and te LO in it.

My MIL sent me a gift card to buy some new clothes.

My DH got me a ring from Tiffany's (my first little blue box!) and our daycare provider gave me a beautiful flower arrangement! It was a great day!

I'm jealous of those that your MIL got you a gift! I always remember for BIL's ex-wife's first Mother's Day she put together a huge care package for her and sent gifts each subsequent year. So when she didn't send me even a card for my first mother's day I was hurt to say the least.

My parents got me an Old Navy giftcard to spend on clothes for myself. It's always their condition when I receive giftcards since I would totally spend it on LO. My husband took a picture of LO and I to get framed or plaqued on Shutterfly. He also made me a meatloaf sandwich. It's not much, but he's learning that on Mother's Day, I get a bit of a breather.
Also, tomorrow, we're shopping again for the baby birthstone band which is my Christmas/birthday/Mother's Day gift. Basically, DH hasn't spent anything on a gift for me in awhile because he knows that I want it and because he's generally not great at gifting.

We've been so busy with house projects lately, that DH just took me to Starbucks to get breakfast after church. It was a nice change to our usual morning. After that we grilled at my MIL's and had a nice day enjoying the sun

My Mom gave me a pair of diamond earrings! She was really sneaky about it, she slipped them to DH when I wasnt' looking at my nephews party on Saturday and told him to give them to me when I got home. I think she's really excited because my LO will be her first 'real' grandchild since my older siblings are from my Dad's first marriage, so she finally feels comfortable showering me with gifts whereas she was a little more reserved when my brother and sister were having kids.
A lot of people wished me a happy mothers day, but since I'm not actually a Mom yet DH and I did not celebrate it.

texts and fb msgs from friends were so surprising and sweet. made me cry!

DS made me a poster and my mom gave me a card. I asked DH to keep it low key and not a big deal.

My mom gave me 5 plants for our yard and a card. DH gave me 5 cards, then he said I could buy a piece of furniture for the house.

I got cards from each of DH's aunts and a gift card to a bookseller I frequent from my mom (even though I told her that's not how it works). Nothing physical from DH (I'm sad I didn't get a card...) but he did let me sleep in, made me breakfast, cleaned the house while I relaxed outside and played with E (my ball in the air that most often gets dropped), and took us out for a nice dinner.

@regberadaisy: @Rainbow Sprinkles: I was also a little surprised by my MIL, she has totally talked about this being my first Mother's Day (even though I'm just pregnant). She normally makes a huge deal about holidays and events, she always mails cards/ gifts, but she didn't even call or text me. She also didn't call us back when we called to wish her a happy Mother's Day. Weird

DH made me a photo cube with photos of DS and a vanity organizer thing. I love them because he made them for me! My ILs gave us money for a new camera -- we ordered a GoPro and lots of accessories
Oh, and I just got a card from DH's aunt with a GC inside. Weee!

Cards, flowers and breakfast from DH/DD. Card and flowers from my mom, card and chocolates from MIL. I also got a very much unexpected card from FIL. DH's parents are divorced and he is pretty reserved and I just thought that was so sweet!

@MrsStormy: I would never had expected anything but bc she did it for BIL's ex-wife and because she claims *I'm* the favorite DIL I was just surprised to not even get a card when she put together this huge thoughtful package and sent it out for his ex wife. Every single year! -

from my brother/SIL, a small potted rosebushso blessed! And what's great, is this year, I was prepared and reciprocated!

My husband gave me a really sweet card with a message from him, my son and my daughter. His message said "Thank you for loving our children so much." Made me super teary eyed.

Dan made me dinner & gave me some roses. Sadie gave me a laugh & a kiss. And my mom gave me a book (because I have time for reading!). It was a really nice day!
