I can't remember! We had two miscarriages before Charlie, so I think everyone was a little apprehensive about getting too excited...
Who got the most excited when you told them you were pregnant?

My best friend. She found out she was pregnant a few weeks earlier so we were really excited to be pregnant together.

My MIL cried! She had opened our Yankee Swap gift announcement (a framed poem from the babe) and she had to stop reading aloud after a few lines and crawled across the floor to hug me!

My mom for sure! My pregnancy was such a surprise (to everyone including us, lol) and I think my mom was begrudgingly resigned to the possibility not having grandchildren. When I told my parents I wrapped up a kid's book for my dad's birthday and put a note on it that he'd need that in Spring 2014. My mom was crying before my dad even figured out wtf was going on hahaha. I think it just never would have even occurred to him that I was pregnant until my mom was like OMG SHE'S PREGNANT. It was all super awesome, I wish I had it on tape.

My mom and mother in law were equally overjoyed, but showed it in different ways. My MIL burst into tears. My mom jumped up and down and screamed.

My mom or my little sister (age 14)! Neither one let my previous losses make them less excited. My MIL cried, but she cries at everything so I really don't think she was as excited even if that might make it seem like she was.

I think my mom. My family more or less figured out that I was pregnant around Christmas, so the actual announcement was anti-climatic. My MIL basically told us "what took you so long." Then when we planned to announce on FB, she announced the night before we did. I guess she was a little too excited about it because as parents we didn't even get the first announcement of our first child.

It's hard to say because my husband's family is not as emotive as my family. So my mom was like excited in a screaming/crying way and my in-laws (who we were able to tell in person) were more calm about it. My mom was also definitely the most excited when we found out it was twins. I think everyone else was a little scared for us at first!

My mom. She had been dropping the "I want to be a Grammy" hints for quite some time but we caught her off guard with our announcement because she thought I was still on birth control. She jumped up and danced around the dining room table shouting with joy.

Either my BFF who squealed with delight or my MIL who started sobbing, haha.

I'm always jealous of this type of post! My husband looked slightly stricken when I told him (it was first thing in the morning, so I'll give him a little slack since he's not a morning person), and my parents ordered stronger cocktails to help them digest the news that they were becoming grandparents. My MIL cheerily told me I was looking fat. It all worked out okay; our families are only mildly dysfunctional. They all love our son.

Honestly, probably my WB TTC friends. Our parents were super happy, too, but they were more expecting it and not as involved with our fertility struggles.

My sister, who was the first person besides DH that I told. Then my sisters and MIL, probably.
We Facetimed my parents at Christmas to tell them and first my mom was like, Oh, so-and-so just came by, can we call you later? Then my dad was like, Is this using data minutes? How much is this costing me? Finally I had to be like, guys, it's sort of important, it's worth any data minutes! Then they were excited, just not expecting it.

My family (brother, mom & dad). I was 21, had only been living with my then boyfriend (now husband) for about 6 months so I was actually scared to tell my parents lol my brother was insanely excited, my dad literally said he thought he was never going to have grandchildren & couldn't believe that he would finally be a grandpa & my mom cried. I was so scared & felt unprepared to be a mom & the love & warmth I got from my family made me feel so confident & safe!

My mom for sure! She was equally excited when we told her about both pregnancies, even though the first was a m/c. Some people were a bit apprehensive to be as excited for the second one but not my mom

Predictably, our families were the most excited, probably our moms. I was nervous to tell my sister because she was also TTC, but she was really sweet and happy for us. I remember her saying that it wasn't as though I took her baby, and that she couldn't wait to celebrate this little one.

My mom, my MIL, and my BFF who was hte first to know. (she happened to be coming over to pick me up to head away for a weekend to our other BFFs house!)

For this one it was my mom. Everyone else was very worried (understandably). For S DH was most excited.

DH's father and step mom were definitely the most shocked and excited. It's impossible to surprise either of our Mom's so they had already suspected, but were clearly excited. Dh's Mom was a little resentful we waited until 12 weeks to share the news too which took away from it a little bit.

@septca: Hahaha I was going to say the same thing! The WB girls for baby #1 and HB for baby #2!
Our families were excited but nervous after our miscarriages for #1 and everyone was basically just shocked about #2 lol.

My sisters were super, super excited, but also worried. I think the lovelies on HB were the most excited for me, though. Everyone else was so nervous, but the positivity on here was infectious

not sure about the first two kids, but with #3, my 5 yo was hands down the most excited human being on the planet at the moment she found out. I should've caught it on video, but I didn't anticipate how excited she would be. it was unbelievable.

My FIL.... he was so excited and said he had been praying for us... ahhhhh

My immediate family. We told them all together and I have the best photo of all their expressions. I didn't expect to cry, but their joy was so overwhelming great. For DH's family, I think my FIL was the most excited.

@pui: I think some of us HB readers cried tears of joy for you! I know I was teary eyed.
