My mom was at her birth, and held her the entire first night while I was out of it. After that, my grandparents.

My mom and MIL met him about an hour after he was born.

Both grandparents and my sister all were waiting in the waiting room. I said that my mom got to hold her first!

Our parents and 4 sisters, and my sisters bf were all there in the waiting room ... They were (almost) as excited to meet her as we were!

My parents were the first visitors to meet LO. We had some friends stop by too with Jimmy John's. I still remember that sandwich.

My parents were at the hospital waiting when LO was born; they saw her at a few hours old. My MIL flew in early the next morning (lives across the country), my brother and aunt and uncle came the day after she was born and my FIL flew up a few days later to meet LO.

Both my parents were actually in the room with us when I gave birth. One couple we are friends with came the next evening and then the in-laws a few days later.

I love the idea of LO meeting the new baby first too. I think it'll be nice to have a few moments just the new new family unit.

My MIL and FIL were the first. They arrived when baby was four days old, and my parents arrived the next day.

I want ds to be but he'll be in the waiting room with my mom and mil and I don't know if I can get away with dh just going to get him for a few minutes before mom and mil come barging in.
