So I had my normal 3 scans....1. heartbeat 2. NT Scan (opted out though so I didn't actually go to this appointment) and 3. Anatomy
I have seen baby numerous other times because I have access to an u/s machine and tech but that tech can't do sizing or anything because she isn't OB specialized or certified.
I am wondering if i'll get anymore from the doctor...I'd like to do around 34-36w to know what size baby is. I am 29+4 today.

Probably not, unless there is a medical reason for it, i.e., baby is possibly breach or you are measuring really large (although late ultrasounds are not reliable for size predictions).

your doctor might order an ultrasound for sizing at the end but unless it's medically necessary, you probably wouldn't get another. You might be able to request one, but because you're requesting the use of the lab and licensed technician you'd pay out of pocket for it.

You could ask your OB if this is routine for them. Mine has you get one at 36w to check for size but doesn't typically do an NT scan. In my case, I've measured 2-3w ahead of where I should be for both my pregnancies so this was a given. However my former co-worker has the same OB and he did one with her and she wasn't measuring ahead.

My doctor typically does a sizing ultrasound later on, but from what I understand most doctors don't.

Yup! I asked mine for one and I just had to pay out of pocket for a "fun" ultrasounds. But they did not do any measuring.

In my office it's not normal unless they think the baby is breach, above/below normal size, ect. I'm really hoping at 30w+4 Days I'll get to see her one more time but not counting on it. At my last appointment she was sure the head was down and I was measuring 28 weeks perfect.

I am having my 36 week u/s next week to check size...the previous u/s i had was at 30 weeks.

My Dr. only did 1 my anatomy scan. We were offered the NT Scan but opted out. She will not do any more unless it is medically required.

@regberadaisy: dangit! Because I can get one easily but the girl I get it from doesn't know how (or doesn't trust herself enough) to measure.
Thanks ladies! I'll ask *beg* my OB for a professional one...I do have a "fun" u/s tomorrow that i'll probably post pic/videos of but it won't be for measuring, just looking:(
