When your work springs for pizza what do they usually get? I may be overthinking this with specialty pizzas + wings + large salad from Panera.

Depends on how many people - usually a combination of cheese, veggie, pepperoni, and meat lovers.

I ordered pizza for the office a couple weeks ago and we got 6 pizzas I believe....cheese, 2 meat lovers, supreme, Hawaiian & pepperoni. I just asked everyone's preferences and went with that.

We don't order a lot - maybe once or twice a year for my dept of 12-20 people and we usually get cheese, pepperoni, veggie, 1-2 something differents, and maybe ham/pineapple. There are a few people particular about their pizza so those are kept in mind with the ordering. We don't get wings or salad when we order pizza unless 1 person wants a salad and no pizza.

25 people. I'm getting 7 pizzas for a total of 56 slices, although my husband says I should just get 6 pizzas as some people will just eat 1 slice.
I was thinking of this breakdown:
2- Cheese
2-Pepperoni
1-Hawaiian- bacon, ham, pineapple
1-White- ricotta, romano, mozzarella cheeses, garlic sauce (no tomato)
1-Mushroom & Sautéed onion (in lieu of vegetarian b/c too much stuff makes the pizza soggy)

I would definitely stick with 7 pizzas. If there are leftovers people can enjoy them the next day. And GREAT call on the mushroom/onion, I hate soggy "veggie" pizzas with too many toppings, no idea why people think that is ever a good idea.

After reviewing responses here's my new breakdown:
New Yorker (like a supreme)
Hawaiian
Pepperoni
Meatball (or should I just go with two cheeses?)
White Pizza
Mushroom & Sautéed Onion
Cheese
I'll skip the wings, and still get the salad from Panera since last time I brought pastries to this place they also requested fruit for the staff on diets. Plus I'll get iced tea or lemonade from Panera since I doubt anyone will want to drink soda.

Plain, meats, veggies, mixed. We have a small company. No sides.

Definitely go with 7 pizzas. In my experience, some people will take 3 or more slices even if there are other options.

Cheese, pepperoni, and veggie. And in terms of amount, my family has a saying about pizza: Better one whole pizza too many, than one slice too few

One more update...the Panera salad was a little too pricey. So I went with a full house salad from the pizza place that feeds 8-12, about 1/3 ro 1/2 of the people and should be plenty for any one watching their figure or late to the break room. I'll still have to pick up drinks, but I may go El cheapo and get the Publix brand.
@mrs.shinerbock: if anyone else at this workplace knows and recognizes the pizza place I ordered from they'll want a box all to themselves! A few people can get a 3rd slice.

If I were getting 7 pizzas, I would get 2 cheese, 2 sausage, 2 pepperoni, and 1 veggie. That's what works for my office. I always find that when you're ordering for a group, usually something that's more off the wall doesn't go over well. For instance, no one here would touch a Hawaiian pizza. And cheese pizza is always the first thing to go.
I also live in the land of party pizzas where thin crust pizzas are cut into squares rather than the normal triangles so people usually take more. And who doesn't love leftovers!

Definitely need a big salad. I hate when I am late and the salad is gone. I usually get a big salad and one slice. We usually have meat, pepperoni, cheese, and veggie. Then salad and cookies. The cheese and pepperoni are usually gone first. I would avoid too many speciality ones.

@MUI831: that's funny that no one in your office would touch the Hawaiian & that cheese is first to go...it was opposite in my office last week. The cheese was hardly touched & the Hawaiian was one of the first to go.

We just get pizza and they get quite the variety. Rarely do I see just one topping. They figured we're adults and have a larger palette. And if there's something on there you don't like, you pick it off.

I have an entire extra day to think about what to order...initially I placed the order at my favorite pizza place where a specialty pie is $19-$22. The total was way too much!! I'll have to switch to Domino's or else I may not get the opportunity to do this again for a different customer. Nice thing is right after I host the pizza party I can go to my fav spot for pizza by the slice.

We have a huge office, so they usually do pizza, salad, breadsticks, and then cookies for dessert. they have liters of pop as well to drink.

They get it from this place around the corner. I wish they would call Dominos or some other place.

Usually just pizza. Sometimes they say "pizza party" and we get sandwiches.
