@psw27: Maybe they'd just bring their buddy, or their brother or the girl they met yesterday. You'd be surprised. In any case I can totally understand not wanting to open up your own home to strangers. And if it were a restaurant, I'd understand not wanting to pay for strangers to eat.

I would attend. I can understand not allowing people to have a +1. 15 to 30 is a big jump, whether it's at home or in a restaurant. I don't see why the location makes a difference since it's a work function.
