We're attending a first birthday party for boy/girl twins in a few weeks. Should we get two smaller gifts or one big gift? If we get a joint gift I was thinking of a zany zoo.

Interesting question!
I think I personally would so one bigger gift like the zany zoo!

I think I'd get two smaller gifts. I'm sure they're always having to share things.

I'd get them a membership to the zoo or children's museum if you can swing it!
ETA: not sure how much it is, though. May be too pricey.

I get both usually-something they can both use together (not a big ticket item), but a little something for each too, and definitely each their own card!

I have triplet nieces. I usually ask my SIL what they would prefer. For their 1st birthday, we got them one big toy. Other times, I've bought clothes - one or two outfits for each.

@lawbee11: that's a good idea! I'll look into it.

I think since they are small, one big gift is nice. If they were older, they'd probably prefer their own gift, but they are too youngto care at one

My cousin has triplets and their mom loves when we do one big gift!

For a first birthday, I'd get the bigger gift. It's not like they are going to care that they have to share. But for older kids, I'd definitely get a present for each.

We got two smaller gifts for some of LO's twin friends. I was glad because they got a lot of joint large gifts.

If I were a parent of twins, i'd imagine I'd just want one big gift!
