Our daughter started speech therapy through EI at around 18 months. I was also hesitant to get the eval at first, but after having done it we had a really positive experience. The first therapist we had wasn't a good match, but our daughter ended up really liking the second one and her speech definitely improved through the sessions. Also they come to your house which makes it easy when you have little ones!
