Your labor with #2 would be exactly the same as #1, and you knew this before you got pregnant?
My labor was hard--he was sunny-side up, my epidural kept failing, I was sick sick sick and had a pretty nasty pp hemorrhage, but I would do it over again, the exact same way.

Hmmmmm.... if my labor was going to follow my first experience exactly then no I wouldn't have anymore. If the next were to follow my last exactly then yes... but we would leave the hospital AMA this time instead of staying the 3 days post birth that we did.
Hopefully though my next we'll get to stay home!

Definitely! My labor was not bad though. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I'm sure I'd be a lot more hesitant if I'd had a harder labor experience.

I was induced at 41 weeks, labored for 36 hours and ended up with an emergency C-section that was traumatic because the anesthesia wore off after the surgery started. I would still do it again...and I actually talked about having baby 2 in my recovery room!

Yup I had a hard pregnancy and labor but would do it Ina heartbeat. Nothing compares to baby love.

My first labor wasnt bad. Thankfully my second was a lot easier and 1/3 of the time!

Yes absolutely! I couldn't have asked for a better labor. It had its hard parts (almost 2 hours of painful pushing), but in the long run, it was an easy labor and I got lucky.

My labor was pretty easy, just long, so definitely. My question is this: would LO 2 sleep better than this one?

Labour with DS was awful. From start to finish it was 2 hours long, but my body and DS were not in tune and he wanted to come faster than my body was ready.
He had poor positioning and I had an anterior lip which wasn't gone by the time that urge to push came. Consequently, DS serverly distressed the option was emergency CSection or give me an episiotomy and vacuum him out. Remember how I said my labour was 2 hours long? Yeah that meant 0 pain relief with an episiotomy! The vacuum failed to attach a number of times and my doctor was freaking. Eventually it stuck and he came out.
My placenta retained, and I was sent to theatre, he also had severe jaundice due to the vacuum. BUT, we went back for number 2- and that was a labour with it's own set of issues and definitely a lot worse than DS.
Would I go back for number 3? At the moment I would say no!

Yep! I was induced and wasn't allowed an epidural for medical reasons so the contractions sucked. Ended up doing it med-free and the actual birth was easy - lo basically birthed herself, I only had to do 2 small pushes. I only had a labial graze too so I was pretty lucky! I spent 11 hours getting from 3-5cms, doctor then said if she wasn't born by midnight then I would be taken for a csection, 10 mins later I was 10cm and she was out

Definitely. I had a planned c section that went brilliantly and gorgeous snuggle time with my lovely girl while the surgeon finished up. Carried her to 40 weeks and no labour. If I could have them all like that, I definitely would.

Labor with my second was almost exactly the same as the first, except for some postpartum issues. I had very easy deliveries, so I didn't mind repeating it the second time around.

Yes! My labor/delivery with LO was awesome, I can only hope it goes the same for #2.

Yup, other than an episiotomy needed due to fetal distress I had no issues with my labor, it was shortish and not too bad to recover from.

For sure - labour was probably the best part of the whole process. I'd probably leave the hospital earlier than the allowed 48hrs though.

I definitely want another LO, we are going to start trying soon. My labor with LO was super easy but he was premature and I want to go full term with my next pregnancy.

Yup, labor isn't what would deter me from having kids. It would be more financial. I'd have more kids if we had more money to hire help.

My labor was induced because my water had broken 24 hours prior but other than that, mostly naturally - I didn't have an epidural, I had one shot of pain medicine before the pitocin and contractions made it impossible for any more. I tried using the laughing gas but I think the pain medicine from the shot made me too queasy to use much of it. It was painful, incredibly so without the aid of much medication, but a day later my mind had numbed the experience a little. So yes, if it were exactly the same, I think I could manage.

Yep and did it with a twist. I was induced with my first and the whole start to delivery process took 8hrs; it only took 4hrs with my second.

Yes. Id just make sure to shower and eat prior to my induction as opposed to what I did the first time which was neither.

Yep, I had an okay pregnancy with a few scares and annoyances. My labor and delivery were great at about 14 hours total with a vaginal delivery. I think that the newborn stuff would be easier to deal with for the second one. Our guy is 4.5 months, so we're still learning. I definitely want another one!

No way, my labor was ridiculously long. The induction was 3 days long, the epidural failed, and I ended with a c-section.

I had the longest labor ever -- 3 days. But in the end the birth was a beautiful experience, and I wouldn't let my labor experience stop me from having another child. (Granted, we don't plan to have another baby for several more years...)

100% yes. I had a wonderful labor and delivery experience. It's the nine months of stressful sort of high risk pregnancy that sucked for me!

yes, I had a decent delivery, very quick and uncomplicated. However, my second was even quicker and I had no tearing!
