Trying to get some answers and my manager sent out an email for me to some of the big wigs - they emails are going back and forth but NO ONE is answering my question.
My manager is out today.
I REALLY want to RTA and explain what I need.
But since I was only cc'd not sure if this is "ok"

Don't worry! Just say something like I apologize for stepping into the middle of your on going discussion regarding ----. My manager was asking on my behalf and since she is not in the office today, I wanted to see if you can clarify -----.

Absolutely. Be assertive, take initiative, and don't waste people's time by letting them go back and forth without getting the information you need.

If you are cc'd then you are part of the conversation. Otherwise you would have been bcc'd. I would do it as long as it's not something that's not your place to ask. The worst that could happen is you don't get your answer!

@Mamaof2: Go for it, your names on the email and they can see it, it's not like you weee a BCC! And I bet they will appreciate you ebing proactive! Just say "Boss is out of the office today and if someone could answer this I can get moving on the project."
