Getting new electronics makes me so happy!
IT is right now swapping out my old laptop for a new one. It was running so slow.
Though, I hope I don't have any issues using windows 7.
Do you use windows 7? Do you like it? I was using windows XP.
Only downside is I was using windows office 2003 and now have to get used to the new office. They removed buttons and everything. Ugh, oh well. New computer. Happy Dance!

Woo! I have no experience with Windows 7, but hear its great.
I'll be getting my new work laptop when I go back (it would have been replaced in January if I were there). I doubt we'll be at Windows 7 yet...it's a slow changeover to new versions.

@bluestriped bee: Wow! Windows XP support ended 4 years ago!!! And Windows 8 has been out for a year now. Do you work in the medical field? I know that medical software is really slow to update their operating systems.
I love Windows 7 and Office 2010... it does take a little bit of getting used to, but I love the "ribbon" (the row of buttons). It really does make finding things so much easier.
DH has Win8 and Office 2013 on his computer and it takes some getting used to.

@sunny: Haha! I was wondering how behind my company was. I'm in Biotech. We recently had our IT dept restructured and they finally decided we needed to catch up. We just got electronic lab notebooks earlier this year. My last job in big pharma had them when I was there... 5 years ago.

We got Windows 7 last year and I like it! I'd prefer a Mac, but my office doesn't do Mac. It's very user friendly, and while the office takes some getting used to, it's fine too.

@evansjamie: Yeah, we have macs at home but I have to stick with windows at work. Yeah, getting used to office is going to take a little bit more time.
