Hellobee Boards

They do yoga several times a week at LO's school (the preschool and Pre-K classes do it - the toddlers might too, I can't remember). They have a "yoga lady" that comes in sometimes, and one of the moms in my LO's class is a yoga instructor so she also comes in sometimes, or they just have the teachers lead.

I think it's awesome for working their little bodies as well as their focus and concentration skills. Plus it is so stinking adorable!

I always forgot to ask about it, but I know they did something at DD's old school because she does all these funny moves and calls it "doing yoga." I didn't teach it to her so she obviously learned it there! I looked for a toddler yoga class nearby but couldn't find anything; she's going to do a creative movement dance class in the fall so I wonder if they'll incorporate any yoga into it.

B (2.5) "teaches" a yoga class at daycare - he's constantly going into downward dog and then lifting up one leg and then the opposite arm, and all the other kids copy him. I just bought a copy of Yoga For Bedtime today to try to have some calming down time with him just before bed.

LO had yoga once a week at preschool last year and seemed to enjoy it at first. The yoga teacher was ill and didn't come back for the rest of the school year, but they continued by playing Cosmic Yoga on YouTube. LO would just sit there and watch everyone else.
