So yesterday while at work, my vision suddenly darkened and was filled with floating black dots everywhere. It lasted for just a short time, but after that my vision was blurry and I was having trouble focusing my eyes. At the time I was just sitting there, so it wasn't like I just got up too fast or anything.

I called my OB's office, but they had already closed, so I called my insurance nurse line. The nurse there told me I should head to the ER.

So I went to the ER where they took my blood pressure and it was 129/ something, which I told them was super high for me, I'm usually around 100, but they said it was great for someone pregnant. They looked in my eyes with a light, and then told me it was probably just an aural migraine without any other migraine symptoms (no headache or anything else). I've never had a migraine before. After about 3 hours from when they initially took my blood pressure they took it again and it was down to 105/64. At which point they released me.

I'm 18 weeks pregnant, I can see that in December I had visited the doctor and my Blood pressure was 94/58 at that time, and at my previous OB appts I've been around 100/60. Should I be concerned in the blood pressure spike? The ER didn't care about the spike at all, and only said I had great blood pressure for a pregnant person even though I kept trying to explain that it seemed higher than normal to me.

I'm currently already on a regimen of baby aspirin due to IUGR with my first LO so it seems even stranger that I would have a spike. I'm not a worrier by nature, but this has me puzzled!
