I'm 38 weeks 3 cm, 90% effaced and -1 station. I lost part of my mucus plug after my cervical check last week and the rest of it today. I'm going insane over here trying to be patient!
It doesn't help that we have family coming into town tomorrow and everyone is texting me to "hurry up and have that baby" and sending me links on ways to naturally induce labor. I swear if one more person tells me to take a walk I may lose it.
What got you through the last bit before labor?

I stopped talking to people who weren't pregnant or on HB. People on my due date were all over my FB page asking me if I had the baby or was inducing and I saw red.

I went out for ice cream a lot. Ice cream made me forget all about people's dumb/insensitive comments.

@Ms. RV: So funny you said that because I went and got a pint of Ben and Jerry's yesterday on my way home. I have some left for tonight and it's all I can think about. I haven't done this the whole time I've been pregnant!
@avivoca: I wish I could do that! It's family and close friends so ignoring them isn't an option. They would start blowing my phone up for sure if I didn't answer thinking something was wrong 
I guess they mean well and are really just excited for us but it just reminds me that I'm waiting....and waiting....and waiting.

I seriously don't know what's wrong with people. Just stop asking!
When people say stuff to me, I tell them that he can stay in there as long as he needs to. Was I sick of being pregnant? Sure, but me be nonchalant about it made other people be the same. I also tried to mentally prepare myself that he wasn't coming until after his due date. So when I went into labor at 39+5, I was actually surprised.
This time around, I'm still 5 weeks out and I'm sick of being pregnant. The good thing is that I have a scheduled C-section at 39+4, so I can tell people that there is an eviction date.

i'm only at 31 weeks (3rd baby) right now, but i'm looking forward to when she gets here, too!
what keeps me patient near the end is remembering that I have no idea when baby will come (evidenced by my lo#2 coming at nearly 42 weeks, after lo#1 was 'early' at 39. guess we just never know! just trying to enjoy getting a full night's sleep these days haha)

I'm 39+2 and yeah... feel your pain. I don't even call my mom anymore because if I do, she's like "ARE YOU IN LABOR?!" She calls me often enough I just let her handle the contact.
The WORST is people at church. Last Sunday "You're still here!" Or random comments "You don't look like you've dropped yet!" "He looks really low!" (from different people). Seriously just LEAVE ME ALONE.
Also now I need ice cream too.

Thank you all! I've giggled more this afternoon from this post then I have all day which is nice. I feel like I have carried a constant peeved face around lately and I need to remember to smile through it!
Ice cream fixes everything and I'm fifteen minutes away from my double fudge brownie B&J's
