I'm so tempted to go in for another beta today. I've already had three. They were 16, 41 and 105. But, I feel like I want another to see how it's doubling. Am I insane? Should I do it?
Note: I'm 4w2d.

I didn't have the option of betas when I was first pregnant (I don't think?), but I can totally relate to the feeling. I found out at 10dpo and I swear every day was like... the longest.day.ever. because I was soooo worried about miscarrying. Every day I was just so paranoid about having a chemical pregnancy! I think it was around 6 weeks when I started to calm down a little and feel like the pregnancy was really for real... and then once I saw a heartbeat at 7w5d I felt MUCH better. Wishing you luck and patience in the next few weeks because it is definitely the WORST part of pregnancy (said by a woman who is currently 4 days past due date and desperately wanting my baby to come out... I'd do this 10 times before I'd do those few weeks again).

I didn't have the option of betas either but I did take FOURTEEN pregnancy test in the first three weeks. So you're not the only crazy one!!
Oh and congratulations!!

My OB never even told me about my #s when I had two blood tests at 4 & 5 weeks! Later on she said no news was good news lol.
You're not crazy! This is the longest stretch I've gone w/o an appt (between 8 to 12 weeks), I'm going crazy always wondering if everything's alright in there!

I haven't been given the option of beta tests, and my dr. doesn't want to see me till 8 weeks . . . but I've been taking pregnancy tests everyday to make sure there's still a line.
So if I did have the option of betas I'd probably be doing as many as I could!

Those first few weeks of pregnancy are so tough after IF and/or m/c! Don't go in for another blood test, 3 is plenty to be able to tell that things are on the right track. Did your doctor offer a 6w ultrasound? Once you see a heartbeat things are a little less scary...

I feel you, I had a cp back in march and yesterday got a
but now I am terrified I'll miscarry again. Every cramp makes me nervous! I just need to make it to 8 weeks when my dr will see me. And I will be poas a lot in the meantime!

I called the doctor and the nurse said there's really no reason to do another beta unless I really feel like it will ease my nerves... which it would, but only for today. So, I guess I'll just have to wait until the 27th for my ultrasound.

I don't think you're crazy (and I'm going to be a wreck once I'm in your shoes), but I don't think you would get much benefit out of continuing to test every couple of days...
(Edited: I just saw that's what your clinic said, too. Sorry.) If you can relax, stay busy (while still taking it easy), and keep your mind on other things, that's probably best. Another option would be to relax, but focus on the pregnancy -- integrative medicine-style (NOT worrying
). It is kind of "crunchy" but cool at the same time. Here's a book that discusses this, especially relaxation techniques that allow you to focus on your early pregnancy:

Wishing you well!

@CatchAFallingStar: I've never been pregnant before, but I can easily imagine the anxiety. I know Circle + Bloom has guided meditation for pregnancy--maybe you can listen to some of that to practice having calm thoughts?

I completely second @Happygal's suggestion. Pregnancy is a marathon, and there's always another worry around the next corner. The better prepared you can be with relaxation methods, the happier a pregnancy you will have.

Not by a long shot! I was a totally whackadoo and used to check HB with my fetal monitor every day several times as soon as it was detectable. It's very hard to believe sometimes that we will actually get a baby at the end of this crazy experience but most people do! I also peed on way more pregnancy tests than needed. I say find a balance f you can. If something gives you comfort then go for it but if it heightens anxiety or makes no difference stay away. Betas seem like something that isn't routine though so I would say let your doctors steer that one more. Good luck honey.
