I had an expecting co-worker (she is 36 weeks) actually ask to see my bare belly the other day at work. I appeased her, but it was extremely awkward! I don't actually know her!
Anyone else get this request before from a stranger before?

never a stranger! That's kind of weird. I would have shown her though. I mean, oh well, right?
I did get asked by ALL my friends after I had the baby. They were impressed. I get they'd seen terrible things before haha. My one friend made me show her because she saw her older sister's and her poor sister has red stretchmarks, and my friend wanted proof that that doesn't happen to everyone. I had tiny tan stretchmarks at the time.

That is so weird and no! Never has someone asked to see my bare belly.

Not yet. I would refuse if they asked though, I think that's a bit over the top weird!

@TurtleDoves: Haha that's awesome! I can understand friends and family asking, but this was a little odd. Especially being that we were at work, working. I guess she wanted to see because she was saying I was so much smaller than her when she was that many weeks and wanted to actually see the belly itself...

Never a stranger, but my friends ask all the time, haha. I'd be really weirded out by a stranger asking!

My aunt saw me the other day and pulled my shirt up without my permission. I was really offput by it. I am dreading anyone else asking

lol that's pretty funny
a snarky coworker asked me at 37 weeks if I cried when I first saw my stretchmarks, I had to flash her my belly to show her there were none ;P

@MrsTiz: ugh I hate that! Least it was family *silver lining*
@rachiecakes: Haha! Did you end up getting any stretch marks? Mine didn't show up with DS until 40+ weeks.

No one has ever asked, but I'm relatively okay with showing, if it was a family member or good friend. Otherwise, no thanks.

OMG...I haven't even had a friend/family member ask, and frankly...no one is seeing my belly but my DH, who gets to see it morning and night. heh.

@tysonja: @anbanan15: I did get a small patch at 39 weeks on my left thigh. They went away after giving birth but I can still feel them if I rub the skin, if that makes sense.. it's weird, it's like it feels broken underneath in a little 3" x 3" patch

@Anagram: I hear you! My DH doesn't even like seeing my belly!
Had I been further along and had a big obviously bump going on I'm not sure I would have shown her. I don't feel like I'm really showing yet (17 weeks today...this happened earlier this week) and she had just cautiously asked if I was even expecting because of the way I was touching my stomach. Hopefully no one else who is a non-family/friend asks!

Only one kid in DS's kindergarten class on a field trip. I said, "Ummm...no."
