I definitely am more likely to want to stay home rather than go out to anything more intense than a dinner out. Being the pregnant woman in a bar/around people who are drinking just isn't fun anymore, lol. I don't blame you for wanting to relax by a pool--if I had one, I'd be doing that all the time! PS, have you taken your Vista out for a spin yet or have you resisted? DH won't let me take ours out anywhere except our apt building hallway, lol.

I am social when it comes to afternoon/evening get togethers, antyhing after 10 pm is not fun for me. That is when I hit my wall and just want to curl up on couch or go to bed. I also don't enjoy being around "drunk" people or situations where everyone else is drinking but me; so bars, ect. are out.

I might go if it meant a lot to my friend, but I'd drive myself, and leave early.

I prefer to stay at home anytime but I am finding this more while I'm pregnant.

I'm kind of antisocial these days because I'm really low on energy. Also being new in town, I'd have to be extra peppy and friendly to meet new people, and I'm just not feeling it

I'm anti social even not pregnant. I'm sort of a loner I guess and honestly I prefer it that way. I do enjoy the company of a few people but I really have no desire to go out of my way to do things with them. I enjoy socializing every few months with DH's friends wives. Most of them are so snobish though that I can't handle them for to long. I also don't like having close friends as terrible as that sounds. I just don't have the energy to be a "good friend" right now so I just avoid those types of relationships. I speak to my sister a few times a day on the phone and that's good enough for me.

@jholler25: I'm anti-social in general I guess...or at least a home-body...I prefer just 1 friend instead of a group...and I love to just BBQ at home or go shopping....especially with DH or my mom or my sister. This pregnancy has taken it to an extreme. 1. I'm too damn tired. 2. I am obsessed with "Baby" and none of my friends have any. Sooo...yeah.
When we do go out, we go somewhere to eat...not hangout per say because I don't want to dance, I can't drink and I'm too tired to go on a trip of any sort.
I am kind of like my DH's dream come true...I want take-out, a hilarious movie and to ..smush:). That's a good Saturday night for me while pregnant.

I made the most of my pregnant social time, because I knew that having a baby would severely limit the time I had to be out and about. I was out with friends at pubs and stuff right until the weekend before Sawyer was born! I am so glad I did, because it is way harder to get out now, especially since Sawyer refuses to take a bottle!

I SO get this. I wonder if maybe it isnt the fact that we are preparing for nesting and enjoying our last gasp of solitude on some level. I dunno but i totally would rather putz around on my own for the most part than see even super close friends, let alone people who are on the periphery. Maybe you should fake pregnancy sickness?

I was! Our neighborhood had a ladies night but it was right after we moved in so I didn't know anyone. I was just in my "fat" phase of being pregnant at 15 weeks so no one could really tell for sure. I didn't want to introduce myself saying "Hi, I'm Heather and I'm pregnant" haha. I was so drained of energy then that I really didn't feel like being outgoing either.

@HeatherlovesKenny: I stopped walking around my neighborhood because my neighbors all stop me & ask how baby is doing ....a 15min walk takes me 45 frikkin mins with all the stops.

@Jen: shut it. You are not a bad person for needing your time and space. Think about it: you will not have time to just sit on your behind after baby is born. So be damned if someone tries to take that from you now! And her wedding is in 2013....and you're a BM not MOH so.....you shouldn't feel guilty.

hm, at 18w, i'm still pretty social, but i've always been a super social person, so i thrive on being around people. being alone actually saps me more (extrovert times 10 here!).

That being said, I used to do a lot of housework while leaving the tv on, but I'm thick into a 10-season Friends marathon and I am happy to sit on my couch next to a pile of folded laundry and just lay myself around it. but hey, at least it's folded, right?

Definitely. I also prefer going home than going out typically, but now that I'm pregnant (and not everyone knows) I get a little stress-y about whether or not what someone is making for dinner will be okay with my food aversions, or is that cheese pasteurized...

I'm honestly just really enjoying the time I have with DH (he works long hours, so when he's home, I selfishly want him all to myself!) before the baby comes. I know the time of "just the two of us" is limited, so I'm taking it for all it's worth!!
