For some reason DH and I were taking about it the other day and I started to research surrogacy, and I think it's something I want to do! Do you know anyone who has any experience with it? I would love to hear real stories instead of "testimonies" on the websites.

No experience, but I wouldn't be a good candidate anyway since my body did not handle pregnancy well. But I think it's an amazing gift!!

There are several communities with good information. I researched it heavily a year or so ago because I was considering doing it for a good friend.

I had a really good friend do it (baby was born last summer) and she had a wonderful experience. In fact, she may do it again for the same couple so their little girl can have a sibling. She bonded with the couple and I know she came out of it feeling really fulfilled.

Wow you're amazing to consider that! I don't have anywhere to point you too but I will be interested to hear about it for a surrogate's perspective if you decide to do it.
