I think I could only ever be a surrogate for my sister or best friend, probably never for just anyway...but again, I've never had to think about it! If someone close to me asked, I would definitely put a lot of thought into it, it wouldn't be a definite no, but it would be hard. I think I would end up getting attached...but if it were a niece/nephew who I could see I think that would be really rewarding.

No, I couldn't. I wish I could, even in theory, but my pregnancies haven't been easy, and my OB told me any subsequent pregnancy I had would also have an elevated risk. But mostly I just really don't enjoy being pregnant.

No. I have very difficult pregnancies (nothing risky, just lots of sickness) and I only get through them by attaching to baby. I don't think I could go through months of puking and feeling terrible and not have a baby at the end.

I don't think I could handle it with my own kids being little. This pregnancy has been rough- and it's nothing major, it just is so hard being pregnant and feeling crappy while also caring for a toddler. I can't imagine doing it with two little ones. Plus I'll be 35 in January, and assuming I waited a couple of years after this baby is out, that would make me older than I would want to be having someone else's baby anyway.

I don't know. I had HG and was so sick til 24 weeks. I was carrying twins so maybe I won't be sick if I was carrying one. Oh, my water broke at 28 weeks so not sure if that was because of twins or if it's just me. I know PPROM happens to singleton pregnancies, too.

I would love to, because I LOVE being pregnant. And it'd be hard to give a baby up but I don't form attachments quickly so I'd be better off than most. Unfortunately I'm a TERRIBLE candidate. 25% success rate with pregnancy, and the one healthy baby was still a preemie.

I'd do it if I had easier deliveries. My pregnancies are very easy, but I've had to have c-sections so it's off the table for me.

Hypothetically, probably only for a sibling.
But considering the fact that I ended up with severe preeclampsia and needed a C-section and I plan to have 1-2 more children of my own, I don't know that I would truly be a good candidate to be a surrogate.

Because of extenuating circumstances, my SIL may need a surrogate someday. I'd consider it for her, unless it was dangerous for me for some reason.

It's something I've been thinking about lately... I love being pregnant but I don't want to have any more children (of my own). I have a friend who I've been friends with for 25 years that's been dealing with infertility for 8 years. I'd love to help her have a baby!

I would for one of my sisters, but I think that's it. I would also want to just be the gestation surrogate, so not my eggs.

I don't know. Maybe for my brother or my best friend. But in reality, none of those people will likely ever ask.
