I am dealing with some major congestion and such from either a cold or allergies. DH suggested using Vicks but I don't know if it's safe to use or not.

I have heard if you dont' want to rub it on your skin, you can put it on the edge of your shirt. I think you can also use it in the shower.
They also make a baby vicks without the menthol that I am sure would be safe.

What if you just breathe it in from the tub? There are also non chemical ones that you can use, I had one that was an herb mixture.

In my 1st tri, I got sick a lot and my dr said it was safe to use to relieve congestion. Feel better!!

I researched it when I was sick in first trimester and it's ok to use. I hope you feel better. Preggo colds suck!

If you dont want to use the vicks...Try boiling water and breathing in the steam, or put some eucalyptus in the shower (tie it to the shower head) and sit in the shower for a bit.

Thanks all! I talked to our triage nurse today and she okay-Ed the Vicks and suggest mucinex too. I think I am also going to do the eucalyptus in a hot steamy shower when DS goes to bed tonight.

I used an organic equivalent from Whole Foods. I was 17 weeks and ill with a terrible flu.
I hear rubbing it on your feet, and then throwing on some thick socks can often do the trick, by the way.

haha, it better be. I've been using it every night since i was 4 weeks PG!!
