You better make a reservation ASAP!
Our favorite restaurants are all local.

What about a nice woodfire/brick oven pizza place? Kinda fancy casual and should be plenty for a pregnant (!!!) lady to eat

For me I would go to our local try and true place. It's where we celebrate all big milestones, and enjoy the food and eating while you can, in case morning sickness/food aversions set in soon.

@regberadaisy: We don't usually go out to dinner on Valentine's day but considering it falls on a Saturday this year, we'll probably definitely go on Sunday instead. Well, unless they are packed and we'll go on Monday or something. But good reminder that if I really want to go out this weekend that we need to make a reservation.

You're pregnant!?! I missed this but CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
I would pick your favorite place - even if it is somewhere you go all the time.
For me, it would be this small Indian place close to our house. We eat there almost once a week. I love the atmosphere, the people, the food. I think it would be so comforting and lovely.

@TemperanceBrennan: Yup, only 4w5d. Thank you. I got my first ever BFP last week.

@Mrs.Someone: I bet they are booked, but yum!
My favorite is Sitka and Spruce. We also love Lark, but it gets really loud. Poppy is good and I love the thali plates.
I'm starting to forget my Seattle favorites, sadly!

Girl I'm just so happy for you! You should enjoy a really nice dinner like italian food or french food and a decadent dessert with your husband. Now in these months is the time to celebrate your relationship before you finally start this beautiful new chapter!

Steak is our food of choice, and we have a highly rated local place that we really like. It's pricey and we reserve it for special occasions. If steak is your deal, do a search on top rated steak restaurants in your area.

@bluestriped bee: Eat out at interesting places now! It's so much harder when you're carting a kid (or two? )

Right after we found out I was pregnant, we celebrated that and my husband's birthday at a local brewery/restaurant- his choice! But for another baby related celebration- when we found out we were having a boy, we went to the same restaurant we went to after we got engaged. We definitely have fond memories of that place now. It's a little more of an event place than our average dinner out but not enough trouble to not be fun and relaxing !

When we got our first BFP with N on Valentine's day (2012) we went to Cheesecake Factory. We had a great time.

@Mrs.Someone: so good to know Paseo is back. I was crushed when it closed! Lark made that list too... Are the PETA people still protesting foie gras outside? That was always fun. We never ordered it, but the protesters certainly made us think about ordering it!

@Mrs. Jacks: I wasn't sad about Paseo because of the conditions (unfair treatment of workers). But it sounds like the new owners fixed a lot of problems, so we'll have to try it out again! No idea about Lark, I think we only went once a long time ago. Before baby, we had a rule to never go to the same restaurant twice unless we bring friends
