I worked PT before baby 1 (my position wasn't fully funded) and returned to PT. After 2, I quit and continued to work for three more months at home even fewer hours. A lot of that was because I hates my job though not about the kids.

I was off at 28 weeks, but just because I'm a teacher and it's when summer holidays fell. I had a year long mat leave and then when back to work full time afterwards.

I clicked the option for my first pregnancy (16 weeks mat leave, returning to new job full time), but for my second I didn't take a maternity leave. This time I'm doing a hybrid model with 2 weeks off after baby comes home and then the rest of my leave when our new schedule comes out in June.

I was incredibly sick during my pregnancy and had just started a new job that was really stressful for me about eight weeks before finding out I was pregnant. I quit that job when I was two months pregnant, worked very post time hours until seven months and then was done. The plan had always been for me to sah though so with me being so sick and unreliable as a result it just worked out that way.

Worked until a week before I delivered and went back full-time at 8 weeks.

This time, I'm due in early August, so I'll be done teaching 2 months before baby comes, but that's just how it worked out. I'm planning on going back when baby is 10 weeks old.

Worked till the day of induction, and will be going back to work full time.

Still cooking LO, but I'm the breadwinner so I don't have a choice, but to work and go back full time after I use up my 8 weeks paid maternity leave. I was put on medical telework at 8 weeks, and will go back into the office first of the year at 19 weeks. Luckily, I can work from home, and haven't needed to go into court for any cases. Although, as long as I have a doctors note they'd have to reassign those cases.

Worked FT and went back to work FT after both kids. I'm undecided about work stuff right now but I have plenty of time to decide!

FT worked up until the end of my pregnancy and went back full time after. Loads of people asked me the same question - am I going part time? - but I actually don't know many people who actually did that!

Worked full time up till the day before going into labor, and then went PT (2 days a week) after mat leave. I didn't plan to go PT, but the closer I came to returning to work, we took a look at our finances and realized it would be tough, but doable and my mom stepped in to help care for him 2 days a week.

I haven't given birth yet, but I plan to work right up to delivery if possible. I'm lucky that I can do a lot of my work from home. After delivery, I'll take as much time as I need and work from home as much as possible. I'm the breadwinner, so I don't have a choice.

I worked up until my expected due date. My plan is to return to work full time once my 8 weeks of maternity leave is done. I am considering a new job that is closer to home and more family friendly though. Now that baby girl is here I really want to spend as much time with her as I can but I don't want to cut my work hours.

My husband is going to be a SAHD now with LO turning 4 months. I had 8 weeks mat leave and my husband took 1 month off after that. LO has been in daycare for the last month. It has been a good experience but we are going to try having one of us stay at home and since I am the breadwinner, my husband will stay at home. If my husband was the breadwinner, I would try staying at home or working part time.

@lilyofthewest: we went with an inhome specifically bc she did pay for 1, 3, or 5 days. I love her now and can't imagine him elsewhere.

@dc yoga bee: @macintosh: @autumnleaves: Yes, hard to be the breadwinner! My DH is a SAHD, so I didn't really have a lot of options but now we've gotten our finances into better shape so I can go to part time. I feel really lucky.

I worked FT until right before my due date, took my 12 weeks, and returned FT as i was the breadwinner at that point.

There were six of us pregnant at the same time however, and only two of us came back full time. Of the other 4, one quit to stay home, one came back at 32 hours until quitting a few months later but finding another job elsewhere, one went to 20 hours and the other to 30 hours.

With this pregnancy, I am now at 30 hours since DH is now in a paid position, and I plan to continue that schedule as long as possible, pre and post baby.

I worked up until 6 weeks before my due date. When I went on maternity leave, my plan was to take 6 months off and then go back at 80%. That didn't work out and I ended up resigning 6 weeks after my son was born and I stayed at home for 2 years. I returned to work full time just after my son's second birthday.

@blackbird: I'm soo jealous that's considered FT. It's what I work and I love and though they've allowed me to keep my benefits per the manual it's 36 hours.
