I've been thinking about dinner all day and looking forward to it. Now that I'm cooking it I think it looks and smells gross! Do you ever cook and then not eat it?

Yep, that was all of first trinester (if I even make it to cooking it). And even nowadays at 15.5 wks, I am cooking more often but it's usually for dS and dh!
Carry out was my bff the days I could eat.

Yeah I totally had those days. Sometimes just the prep and smell of it cooking was enough for me to lose my taste for it. Once I made pork toast gyros and I made DH eat it plus the leftovers

Yep! More with my first pregnancy than this one, but (because I didn't have a toddler), I'd cook a super elaborate meal, get it on the tableā¦and then eat cereal. DH never complained.

Oh! And early in this pregnancy, I had to eat super fast, because 1/2-way through pretty much every meal I started getting totally disgusted by it.

That's why I hardly cooked at all during pregnancy! Let alone the first trimester!

Sometimes we would have dinner planned but then it was time to make it and I couldn't stomach it. DH did most of the cooking at that time. We learned to be flexible, plan simple meals, and not be afraid to go out for whatever I felt like I could eat at the time.

Yep, do it a lot. And right now DH is rarely making it home for dinner, so half the time I cook a meal and it winds up only getting eaten for lunch the next day. Next week I'm just planning for fewer meals.

I was so sick that I didn't cook anything for a couple months. It was a BIG deal when I made grilled cheese sandwiches. DH stepped up to the plate plus lots of take out.

We participated in a farm share last summer when I was in my first tri, and I was cooking veggies ALL THE TIME which was the one thing that I couldn't stand eating. It was hard!

I barely cooked in my first trimesters. DH dealt with food/takeout.

I frequently cooked and then was disgusted and ate pop tarts or crackers for dinner instead. Oh pregnancy, you were so fun!

Yup, I did this a lot when I was pregnant with LO 1, especially early on in the pregnancy. I ate a lot of cereal.
