@cheert16: Boo
I think 4 mos is really tough for our babies... Hang in there! K def had it bad for a while going through her leap, I think we're coming out of it now... (fingers crossed.....)

@BandDmommy: Seriously, can they save the drama! It's B's day!
pomelo / 5298 posts
@BandDmommy: I can't stand family drama, it's probably why I have so little to do with most of my family anymore. Hope MIL can figure herself out soon and save y'all unnecessary hassle.

How do you guys clean toys, esp fabric ones with plastic parts? I just dunked everything into hot soapy water, then ran it through hot water, then laid out to dry...
K has been putting EVERYTHING (and I mean it 100%) in her mouth. She keeps reaching out to grab stuff, and putting whatever that is in her mouth... And then sometimes she gets angry trying to munch on said thing... !!!
Sleep front has been much better... She stopped waking up (thank you Lord) MOTN, usually does 7-9 hr stretches now. BUT that's if she goes to bed after 8pm. Last night she went to bed before 8 and had a wake up around 2. We're still bed sharing... Her naps are okay... Standard 40 min but she will sleep in her crib. But it's still not 100% that we can put her down. Bleh.

So my "sick" child is presently bouncing away in the jumperoo talking. And of course the 2+ hour post feeding spit up. Ugh! I'm over the spitting up from the time she eats to the next time she eats. She slept in our bed last night as she just wasn't having the PnP. We head to see the pediatrician shortly.

@cheert16: if you are sick it seems like maybe she doesn't feel well and that's why she wanted to be held so much? Sorry
@MamaG: I responded to your other post on illness. Hope she is ok!! Ryan's spit up has been really bad the past few days. Fountains. I totally feel you there.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
I accidentally drank a huge gulp of my friends coffee yesterday that was filled with milk. Guess I'm testing out whether Ryan has a dairy intolerance....
Last night was the first one waking night in a long time. Hopefully his sleep is ok while we are out if town this week!

@snowjewelz: glad things are better!!
Um I'm a bad mom. Unless a toy is specifically dirty I don't really clean them often. Bath toys I run thru the dishwasher as well as any plastic toys but that's really only occasionally. Some germs are good for them
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@BandDmommy: that sucks. Does she get along with FIL? Can you just tell her to come but without her boyfriend?
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: That makes me feel better! And you're not a bad mom! I just had no idea what I'm supposed to do!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@snowjewelz: Umm... like @winniebee: I don't really wash toys unless they obviously need it!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@snowjewelz: I pretty much do your same with toy washing, if plastic isn't too bad I put it in washer with her clothes...lol
Yes, I agree 4 months is a huge mile stone I actually have been emotional about it, she is just so BIG!!! packing up swing and busting out big girl stuff....they grew so much in 4 months
I think we have a mild regression she wakes 2 times for the past week bit not too bad so I'll take it!!!!
@MamaG: Awww hope pedi goes well
@winniebee: You are rocking staying away from the dairy so hard, hope little man isn't effected
I was actually surprised how well G did at my mom's so hopefully R follows
I also like your dishwasher idea
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Adira: Ok great! Well I def had to wash this batch b/c I bought them 2nd hand from someone
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: I know! I gotta put away her rnp (I don't even know why it's out, she doesn't even like it!), and set up the high chair & jumperoo!
I think knowing she is hitting a lot of milestones makes me feel SO much better about any regressions. Still sucks when they happen but I'm less rattled knowing they are for a reason!

@snowjewelz: @winniebee: @adira: i'm with ya. i throw the wubbanubs in the wash with her laundry once a month or so, but i'm not sure i've actually washed any of her other toys. sophie, if i know she hit the floor at a restaurant, but she is easy to clean.

we're also in the weird sleep club. all of a sudden, e is talking way more (like 15 minute straight conversations with her toys), she can tripod for a long time, and she's chomping on everything...so i'm guessing it's just a developmental burst. But she has been going down normally at 7ish and then waking up at 9, 1030, and then at least one more time overnight before the day! i only feed her at the true middle of the night one...not sure what the earlier ones are all about. just needs extra snuggles i guess

we're up to 1.5-2hr wake times now too. it actually feels like we can hang out and play!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@KayKay: us too seems to be 2 hrs on the nose the past few weeks I kinda like it too!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@KayKay: I'm so bad I give her the boob each time, but the wake ups are 4-5 hrs apart
Usually in bed by 8 wake 1-2 then again at 5 or 6

@Adira: I'm not sure she NEEDS that much either. I figure if she really was hungry she'd start waking up at night. But so far I've been able to keep up with it. And since she's only around the 5th%ile it's not like she couldn't use the extra ounces. So for now I guess that's what we'll try for.
nectarine / 2210 posts
@snowjewelz: their calculator is showing 4.2 ounces would be average for her, so it looks like we're right on target with 4.5.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Miss Ariel: Yeah, if you're able to keep up with that, then by all means! I just don't want it to stress you out!
nectarine / 2210 posts
I haven't really been cleaning toys too much either. There's a few cloth ones I've thrown in with laundry, but besides that, not really.
nectarine / 2210 posts
@Adira: I def was a little stresses going into last week, but wound up being pleasantly surprised by how it worked out. Thanks!!
nectarine / 2053 posts
@snowjewelz: Micah wants to put everything in his mouth too. It's funny because when I put him in his little jungle gym thing, he reaches and grabs the toys that are attached to it and gets so mad because he can't pull them off and put them in his mouth.

It's been a rainy/sleepy day here!!! She is so cuddly today I totally nursed her in bed to sleep and napped with her twice
Always back to crib naps tomorrow...lol
pomelo / 5298 posts
Since I hung out with K at home today and she's a crap napper - we worked on sitting. She's getting pretty good at sitting up. I don't remember how long it takes to get into the sitting up position on their own after figuring out the balancing part.
And very little spit up today and no vomit! Yippee!
pomelo / 5298 posts
And we had a crap sleeper in our bed and very loose stool again this morning. Yesterday was so good and now my anxiety is through the roof again.
eggplant / 11861 posts
We were back to a one wake up night again Down at 8:30 up at 2:30 and again for the day at 6:45
eggplant / 11861 posts
@Adira: No not at all that is her norm unless she is super nice and STTN

@BandDmommy: ugh - MIL drama is the worst Mine is coming to visit on Sunday and I'm already stressed!
pomegranate / 3045 posts
@MamaG: ugh, I'm so sorry she's suck. But that is awesome about her sitting!! H is still wobbly in the sitting position
@FaithFertility: glad sleep was better last night!
@winniebee: how'd r do after the milky coffee?
honeydew / 7283 posts
@snowjewelz: I put a lot of fabric-type toys in the washing machine (wubba nubs, etc) and hard plastic things in the dishwasher. Some of it I just try to ignore though. There are a lot of germs in this world and my kids have to build there immune system somehow!
@MamaG: Spit up in the jumperoo is the absolute worst! That thing is so hard to take apart and wash. We are still just completely covered in spit up over here. (now that I'm re-reading what you said I"m not even sure you were talking about spitting up in the jumperoo. It's still the worst, though!) I hope she's feeling better!
@winniebee: oops! maybe that's the best way to bite the bullet. How did R do with the dairy?
