@FaithFertility: we are a fan of children's place footed Jammie's. I find carters to be inconsistent. We have a super skinny pair like you mention. Makes me crazy.

Lovely ladies - today is beautiful, crisp, sunny winter day and we are finding the right spot to hang Ava's wind chimes. They sound so beautiful. Thank you so much

@FaithFertility: That's wonderful! You must both be so thrilled! How in the world did he manage that???

@MrsF: I am so excited!!!! Apparently there is a younger single guy on his shift that would rather have New years eve and day off!!!!!?!? Which DH had ...It was perfect!!!!

@FaithFertility: As someone who works holidays (but not Christmas this year) - I'm so happy for you guys

Found the perfect spot off of Clara's playhouse in our backyard - can look out and see it from our kitchen and eating area. Billy was in tears hanging the wind chimes. He said Ava will be watching over Clara as she plays Thank you so much for the sweet gift - we just love it

@sandy: i didn't participate in the group much before the babes were born, but i've read about Ava's journey. thinking of you at the holidays, especially, and so happy you have some frequent reminders of your sweet girl.
@faithfertility: that's awesome! hooray for younguns that love the partying
@banddmommy: glad you guys made it back -- probably smart to head back a couple days before the masses.
we got our tree yesterday, and K helped us decorate last night after E went to bed. E has been pointing at it like crazy but hasn't tried to pull anything off it yet!

Anyone else struggling with the tree? C never really bothered with it at this age (although she was 3 months older at Christmas). K on the other hand has made a game of getting an ornament off the tree and then running with it. We always put non-breakables at the bottom, but it's getting old already and it's only day 2. I'm hoping the novelty will wear off soon!

@sandy: This gave me goosebumps So glad that you found a nice place for the wind chimes.

@BandDmommy: Glad your return trip was better! We decorated for Christmas yesterday. M is finally old enough to really enjoy decorating the tree yesterday, which was fun.
@MamaG: This is what I'm worried about I almost said no to the tree entirely because I'm so sick of keeping J away from the dog's food, etc etc. So far so good though - we'll see.

@MamaG: dh actually wants to set it up on the dining room table. We just have a small one which is why it's an option, although I'm not completely on board with the idea.

@MamaG: we haven't put one up yet, but I'm certain Ryan will try and tear it down. He is into everything, can't help himself. T was 7 months and not crawling at his first Christmas, and then 19 months and old enough to know better at his second Christmas. We are in a danger zone here!!

We had a lovely thanksgiving, but Ryan's sleep has been very bad the past week, and my husband has barely been around because of work. Ive also become an insomniac between worrying about being pregnant, then miacarrying, and now Ryan's birthday, packing, and moving in the next T-27 days. Mostly good stuff of course, but I just want to check into a hotel and sleep for 14 hours!
Oh, how long from taking lunging steps to walking? Ryan's been letting go of furniture and lunging at me, taking a few super wobbly steps, and just standing some too. He's very proud of himself

@winniebee: You've had a crazy November, mama. Checking into a hotel sounds like a dream. My parents were just here and mentioned that my sister (who has no kids) slept at their house last night and woke up at noon Half of me wants to kill her and half of me wants to tell her to live it up while she can!

I'm a mess today. I decided to stop nursing J in the morning (we were down to morning and night) because he's waking up earlier and earlier and doesn't go back to sleep even after nursing. Today was the first day of that I'm already feeling a little guilty but then three times today he cried when DH tried to hand him to me So obviously he thinks I've abandoned him and doesn't love me any more... (duh).
I did nurse him before bed tonight and just thinking about it was making me cry while feeding him.
Of note - my breasts hardly felt full at all even while not nursing all day. Makes me feel a little better that he probably wasn't eating much in the mornings anyway.

@MrsF: noon!!! I would settle for 8 am! My parents are taking the kids in a few weekends - we will be packing and sorting but I plan to sleep in!!!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: No joke. I was speechless. I'm sure she was out late last night. After 6am is a late start for us here. If J slept until 7 I would shout it from the rooftops.
I hope you can get some good sleep when your parents have the boys. Kind of sucks that you have to "waste" that time on moving
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: I know! Once upon a time we were planning a warm weather getaway for that weekend. But then we decided to buy a house
nectarine / 2210 posts
@MrsF: I nursed as normal this weekend, but even so K acted the same most of the weekend. For whatever reason if she could see dh she wanted him and would scream if he tried to hand her off.
